I've been getting pain between my hips and under my pelvic bone for some time now, I was wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms? (I'm booking a doctor's appointment)

Yes, I've had chronic pelvic pain for the past 15 years, and they still don't know what's causing the pain. I've been to 4 different hospitals and had explorative operations and still shown no sign.

They then made me feel like I was imagining the pain and it was all in my head, my work place didn't believe me either, so this then led to severe depression and I then started self harming as I felt I had to prove there was something wrong with me.

Since then I've been diagnosed with Lupus, underactive thyroid, sjogrens and still suffer with the pelvic pain.

My relationship broke down, so I'm now 43 years old not working, and living back home with my mum as I am unable to afford my own home.

Good luck and I hope you have a better diagnosis.

Xxx

I want to make a doctor's appointment, I'm just scared, what if they just give me painkillers? I know there's a problem and I doubt they'll look into it

I would ask for a scan if they don't offer you one.

I kind of want blood tests to see if I have a hormone imbalance too. The pain between my hips and around my pelvis is kind of like period pain, it's really weird

They should do bloods without any problem.

I always got told to keep going back until they found the problem, you have pain that shouldn't be there, just go back until they get annoyed and have to do something about it

Pain is excruciating today.ultrasound scan later today.hope it will show a cause for my pain.have waited weeks for this scan.gp appointment for results now on 1st June.,hopefully the sonographer will tell me.

Bowel, bladder and ovarian cancers ought to be ruled out as a priority at GP surgeries so do insist that these possibilities however unlikely are discussed when you visit the surgery. Best wishes
