Numbness: I am not sleeping due to numb hands... - Pain Concern
Numbness
Do you have any problems with neck vertebrae? If so, it might be nerve compression causing the numbness. Best see your doc for tests.
I get numbness in my right hand with pain down my arm from shoulder down, I had Xrays and I was told I had a trapped nerve due to vertebrae in my neck pressing on it. I try to correct my posture when typing so that I don't aggravate it by leaning on my arm at my desk, and I take paracetamol. not much else can be done I don't think, except Ibuprofen gel rubbed into neck and shoulder area if its really painful.
There's a lot more that can be done, at least to help with the symptoms . go back and keep asking. I wish I had been less accepting years ago and now I'm totally .......wrecked! Good luck.
I agree with the previous comments but would also like to suggest Peripheral neuropathy. I don't know your health issues and although PN is associated with diabetes there are other reasons.
Chiropractic is an awesome alternative to surgery if possible along with physical therapy changes in diet low sugar & carbs help so much diminish pain &elavil seems to work better than lyrica or neuron tin for this everyone is different so hope it helps...
