You might have a little localised infection needing an antibiotic perhaps. See your GP.

I had my gall bladder removed, all was healing well apart from the scar in my tummy button, at first it looked fine but after a couple of weeks it looked a bit red and everso slightly swollen, What had happened was, as they now use glue for small wounds, instead of stiches, some of the glue had hardened under the skin, and my skin was trying to heal over it, It was easily removed, and all healed well afterwards. See your GP or practice nurse, I am sure they will sort it for you.

Visit your GP please as soon as possible Laura. One of my closest friends had her fibroids removed using the same laparoscopy procedure and a few weeks later started to complain about hardening around that area and excruciating pain.

After a GP visit - and having an ultrasound, it was discovered that some sort of pool of dried blood had formed in the 'incision area'. She was then given medication to 'soften and dissipate' the blood lump and very strong painkillers. She has also been booked to go back into hospital next week to have the blood lump removed.

Unfortunately, our bodies are wonderful but sometimes react to procedures and invasion in strange and unique ways but science can also be wonderful so please get yourself checked out as soon as possible. It could be something really simple to resolve.

Stay Positive, Stay Strong

Hello

I would advise you to discuss this with your GP as this area is used for keyhole surgery

I had that several weeks after a laparoscopy, and it went into a little sore lump, before it burst and a stitch popped out of it! Definitely get your GP or a nurse at your local surgery to have a look at it, as it is quite common for dissolving stitches not to dissolve properly, and then cause a bit of irritation. They can also look at it to check for signs of infection as well.

I only noticed it today that my leggings were causing me pain there. But after i had them off, it is still there when i strain or strech a bit.

Hi, how did you go with your doctor? Had my gallbladder removed 3 1/2 weeks ago and am having exactly the same issues... but the pain seems to be getting worse around my belly button. I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow.

O my.. sorry to hear that. I had it behind the incision. Like a hard lump that hurt when i touched it. I had an ultrasound as well and the doctor said. That is an inflamation. Meaning the process of healing.
