I HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH CLEAR CELL OVARIAN CANCER T1C ON JULY 2011
MY SINGLE CYST OF MY LEFT OVARY 10X9X8 RUPTURED DURING OPERATION.
MY GYNCOLOG REMOVED MY TWO OVARIES .
MY ONCOLOGIST SET ME ON SIX SESSION OF CHEMEOTERAPY CARBOPLATINE AND EBITAXEL , I HAVE ENDED MY LAST CHEMEO ON THE FIRST OF OCTOBRE 2011
AND EVERYTHING WAS WELL .
I MADE A SCAN ON THE 20/3/2012 AND WAS FINE TOO.
ON 7/11/2012 I MADE MY SECOND SCAN TO FIND A NEW CYST SIZE 5*5.5*4 ON THE LEFT LOWER QUADRANT ADJACENT TO THE LARGE AND SMALL BOWEL,
I WAS VERY UPSET AND MY DOCTOR ASKED ME TO MAKE AN MRI SCAN .
ON 17/11/2012 I MADE MY MRI AND FOUND THE SAME RESULT AS MY THE LAST SCAN.
MY DOCTOR ASKED ME AGAIN TO MAKE A BIOPSY TO THIS MASS IN ORDER TO KNOW ITS NATURE.
AFTER 10 DAYS I RECEIVED MY BIOPSY REPORT THAT THIS MASS IS THE SAME AS THE PRIMITIF OVARIAN CANCER THAT I HAD FIRST ( CLEAR CELL OVARIAN CANCER ) .
ALSO MY ONCOLOGIST ASKED ME TO MAKE A PET SCAN TO CHECK IF THERE IS ANY METASTASE OR MASS IN ANOTHER PARTS OF MY BODY.
ON DECEMBRE 6 2012 MY PET SCAN SHOW THE FOLLOWING:
THER IS A LOBULATED MASS LOCATED ALONG THE LEFT UPPER ILIAC FOSSA IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH SMALL BOWEL LOOP EXHIBITING HETROGENEOUS HYPER METABOLIC ACITVITY , EVOKING NEOPLASTIC PROCESS AS TUMOR IMPLANT.
AND THERE IS NO SGNIFICANT ABNORMALITY OF F18-DFG OBSERVED AT THE REST OF THE BODY.
MY ONCOLOGIST ASKED ME TO START CHEMOTERAPY ON MONDAY 17
BASED ON A COMBINATION OF DRUGS ( AVASTIN , CARBOPLATIN, GYMZAR ) FOR 6 ROUNDS THEN A SCAN TO CHECK IF THE TUMOR IS GETTING SMALLER IN ORDER TO MAKE AN OPERATION TO TAKE IT OUT.AND AFTER THER IS ANOTHER SIX ROUNDS OF CHEMEO .
I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO , THIS MY DESTINY , I HOPE THAT I CAN PASS THESE DIFFICULTIES AND MY TUMOR RESPOND TO THIS TREATMENT AND GET REMISSION SOON.
I HAVE MY TWO BELOVED CHILDRENS AND HUSBAND I WILL FIGHT WITH ALL MY EFFORT FOR ME AND FOR THEM TO KEEP MYSELF ALIVE.
I LOVE YOU ALL , GOD BLESS US ,
BIG HUGS.!!!!!

Sorry to hear that you have had a recurrence and I hope you will take heart from the many ladies here who have survived this. Its good that your treatment is to start soon and your oncologist is on the ball.
I am so sorry to hear your news. I have little expertise so cannot offer advice, but I can offer you my support. You sound like a strong person and I am sure your determination will stand you in good stead over the coming months, stay strong , you have beaten this once, you can do it again,
I am sorry that you have had this latest set-back. You sound like such a strong lady and you have so much to live for. I just know you will put all your will into fighting this. There are many women on here who have got through recurrences and have gone on to have more years of remission. I sincerely hope it is so for you, too. Be strong, I'm sending you lots of hopes and wishes for some better news soon. It sounds as if your oncology team are doing a good job.
Love and hugs

Dear Tarouza,
I don't know where you are but it might be worth asking for a second opinion. Please call the Ovacome helpline if you'd like to discuss this - 0845 371 0554. Also there's a website called Libby's Hope which is American - it has lots of info on clear cell. I would also suggest asking if surgery is an option. Please let us know how you are getting on,
so sorry to hear about your re-ocurrance , but so glad to hear that your getting your treatment so quickly , i too have clear cell cancer , and have also had re-ocurrance , only the consultants have decided to wait to give me treatment as i am feeling well at the moment .. just wanted to send my love and thoughts your way and keep fighting for that family of yours,
Just to let you know I will be thinking of you as you start you next lot of treatment. I hope goes well and you can remain strong for your family and that they are able to support you.
I'm really sorry to hear about the recurrence and can only add to the comments above by hoping that chemotherapy and surgery will get the better of this. Keep strong. You have many friends here. Please let us know how you're getting on.
