You are all truly marvellous ladies and I have nothing but admiration and respect for your courage and belief.
I was with Coco every step of the way in her battle and I learnt so much about the disease. We were very lucky to have the use of private insurance and this gave us access to the best treatment, consultants and surgeons we could find. I can only say to you all that if you are not happy with the treatment you are receiving or believe there are alternatives then request second opinions and for my coco this worked wonders on two occasions. Even through the NHS you can ask for this.
If I can help any of you in any way please ask as I am so grateful for all the support you gave Coco.

These are such difficult times for you. Keep in touch via Ovacome because that's what we're here for. To support everyone affected by Ovarian Cancer.
I for one find it really helpful to talk to children and husbands who are going through a bereavement process because it helps me prepare my own family for the inevitable. This site helps me to readjust to a new life order and the fact that I shan't live as long as I'd expected. Of course we all hope and dream for a cure. I hope I can follow Coco's example and never give up hope. If not for myself, for the women who follow.
Being rather new here I did not come across Coco. However, I genuinely feel for you during this awful time. I also wanted to add, while you are absolutely right about these ladies having courage and belief which is inspiring, you should not sell yourself short. As a fellow husband, just becoming used to the idea of my wife having this awful disease, you are an inspiration. To come here and share such a thought, especially at this tragic moment, is a testament to your own courage and belief.
Hi Neil. I agree with Annie and Andy, it is so hard for the husbands. I know how the diagnosis I had affected my husband, for years after I was feeling OK. I am really impressed with your support for your wives, and reiterate what Annie said , Ovacome is there to support not just OC patients but their families too. Do stay in touch when you want to Neil, and let us know how you're getting on.
Pleased you find comfort from this site as we all do. We sometimes forget how it affects our husbands and families and it is good to be brought back to earth as it were by hearing the other side.
As a mother who has watched her dear daughter suffer and who is on tenterhooks every 3 months as another MRI looms, I can understand a little of what a husband may feel with this dreadful disease. I am so, so sorry that Coco has lost her fight and am humbled by your encouraging words to the amazing inspirational and supportive ladies on this site. I echo your words to them - never give up ladies, get second opinions if you need them, Keep fighting, keep hoping.
