clinical trial recommendations please

Good morning lovely ladies,

I have just become platinum resistant and am meeting my onc later this morning to discuss scan results and possibly look at clinical trials.

Does anyone know of a current trial for high grade serous plat. resistant? I have looked on line but it would be good to hear from someone who is on one.

Thanks and best wishes,

Martine

Dear Martine,

Thank you for sharing your experience here, and for your question about clinical trials which may be available to you.

It is good to hear that you are meeting with your oncologist, who will be able to advise on potential trials that might be open to you according to your individual diagnosis and circumstances.

Our clinical trials booklet contains further information which may be of use to you: ovacome.org.uk/clinical-tri.... This includes sections on different types of clinical trial, reasons to join a trial, and finding relevant trials.

If you would like any support in looking into clinical trials, we would be happy to help. You can send us an email to support@ovacome.org.uk, or give us a call on 0800 008 7054. We're available from Monday to Friday - 10:00am - 5:00pm.

Best wishes,

Alice - Ovacome Support Team

Dear Riverflo,

There is a new treatment was approved from FDA couple months ago, which might fit your case. You may ask your oncologist to do tumor sample test first to see if you are positive for Fra . The tumor sample need to be sent to other place, your doctor should know it. Please see below link for details about this treatment information:

Best wishes

Hi Dan,Thank you so much for replying. I went on a trial for that drug last year, had a good amount of the folate receptor but unfortunately it didn't help me at all.

Hope others have more luck with it.

Best wishes,

Martine

it’s best to ask for a referral to either the Christie or the Royal Marsden at Sutton . They will assess you and offer any suitable clinical trials. Wishing you the very best . 🙏🙏❤️

Thanks for replying. I live in Spain so unfortunately it would be difficult to access those options and I don't know if there is a similar version here.
