To which clinical trial is he referring you? Is it an immunotherapy trial? I ha good results from my immunotherapy trial although eventually it stopped working and I’m back on chem, weekly Taxol.
i really don't know which clinical trial, i will have to meet the DR. who is doing this, my oncologist didn't give me any detail, its good that your immunotherapy worked even for a while , leaving gaps between chemo therapy lines is a good thing .. hope you get a great benefit from taxol,
No, no side-effects, none at all! It was brilliant. The very first time, I had diarrhoea at about 2 am, so I was expecting the same two weeks later, but nothing at all ever again. So I expect that first diarrhoea may have been something I'd eaten, either that or my body just got used to it.
Hi Temey. I know how you feel I'm starting a a trial to day and had to come of treatment for the last 7 weeks, This trial is a new drug so I was not sure if I wanted to go a head with it my oncologist and family, think it's a good idea as I'm on my 5th line of chemo in 3 years.
I'm getting ready to go I'm still not sure that I'm doing the right thing.
As the other ladies have said a break from chemo could be good, I hope all goes well.
Hey Lorraine,I want to wish you best luck in your trial ,hope it will do a perfect job for you and be a right thing to do ..yes it’s a good thing to have some rest from chemo .. let’s hope for the best,
Oh Lorraine your situation sounds so tough and you are so brave to go through chemo, I totally admire your guts and courage. I hope this is. Is eirking for you and you nail this horrible disease..
Hi Nicky, I must admit I was scared if to do the trial or not, I got home yesterday from having a intra peritoneal port put in my stomach, I also have a port for my chemo, I had this one for over 2 years, Now I do feel like a service station just go in and fill me up.
When I had the port in the chest area it was not too bad but this one is quite painful, next week I will have the first dose of the new drug.
I never think of my self as brave I just do not have a choice like all us ladies if I want to live.
Thank you for your wishes love. take care of yourself Lorraine xx
You are so brave. Do not underestimate just how much you are going through and how tough this all is. I know we all have no choice but Ibthibk your attitude is brave. You are. coutrageous and determined xxxx
Hi, I had the port put in yesterday, I have a port in my chest for chemo it's been in for over 2 years, the new port was place at the bottom of my ribs this way the new drug will be wash in the cavity and will reach the cancer. I was not ready for how painful the new port would be.
Now I have to 7 days for the port to heal. Thank you for your best wishes Lorraine xx
