It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that this is to tell you all that Ali died on Friday 18th December 2020 as if this year hasn't been bad enough already.
Originally diagnosed in July 2016 with Stage 3c Ovarian Cancer she underwent limited de-bulking surgery and endured countless rounds of chemo, investigating all the available trials and seeking alternative opinions wherever available. Not so much as a way to cure herself but to help the science and advance the research to find a way to stop so many women having to live with the disease.
She left this world cross and angry that she couldn't do more.
She 'reluctantly' accepted the invitation to become a model for the fashion show of 2018 but once there she 'bossed the catwalk' in her inimitable fashion.
She will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who knew her.

Ali was such a fighter and many of us drew strength from her attitude and wise advice. I am very sad at this news and send heartfelt condolences to her family ❤️
Such sad news, she will be sorely missed on this forum. Her posts were often filled with such great humour. I’m guessing you’re “the bloke” of whom we used to hear about from time to time. Sincere condolences to you and her family. May she rest in peace.
Thank you for letting us know.I couldn’t sleep last night & was thinking of Ali, wondering how she was. A group of 7 of us ladies met at The Swan at Whittington in Worcs, way back in 2018. We had a lovely meal & talked non-stop!
Sending condolences to all of you, especially at this time of year.
So sorry to read this. What a terrible loss for you and your family, especially at this time of year. Ali sounds like she was a wonderful lady and obviously fought very hard for all of us. May she rest in peace. Love to you all
So very sorry to hear your sad news. Ali had such a great spirit and was an inspiration to me and others here. I had the privilege of meeting her a couple of times including that wonderful chatty lunch Linda mentioned and we even exchanged emails about our new kitchens in 2019! She will be sorely missed and my heart goes out to you, her family and friends. Love Jo 🌹🌹🌹
I'm so sorry for your loss. Ali's spirit and strength gave courage and hope to forum members here. I hope you too will find strength and comfort in your memories of her.
Ali was such an inspiration for me and I am so sad that she has lost her fight with OC. My condolences to all those close to her, she will be missed by many ❤️❤️
So sad to hear this news. She had such courage and kept herself and others informed as she battled with this disease. She will be greatly missed on this forum. 🦋 Condolences to you and her family.
Oh no. She was lovely to me, I remember her telling me to for goodness' sake go skiing last year when I had a wobble about it. I'm so sorry to hear this news x
HiI was also in the meet for lunch group at the Swan. (Passed by there on Friday and talked again about it to my partner)
Such a lovely group of ladies. I remember talking about skiing with Ali and I was envious that she managed to continue to ski while I had to stop for a while due to side effects of treatment. She made me resolve to myself to get fitter like her.
All my sympathies. I respect the fact that she was cross and angry. Too many women are diagnosed too late. She sounds like a great fighter. Love Candy x
I'm so sorry to hear this sad news and send my condolences to Ali's friends and family. I will miss her posts on this site. She was a lovely lady taken far too soon.
I'm very sorry she had to leave this earth, especially given the fight and optimism that shone through every post of hers. My condolences to her family. xx. Maus
I am so dreadfully sorry to hear about Ali. I’ve followed her posts for the time I’ve been on this site and she always came across as such a wonderful woman. Thoughts and prayers are with you all
To all you lovely people a huge great thank you. The day after I posted the news my inbox was flooded with kind messages and I too was flooded with tears!
The funeral is arranged for 2:00pm Wednesday 13th January 2021. I’ve been asked by a few people but the service will not be ‘streamed’. Please join us in spirit (any one of your choosing!)
As I say I was completely bowled over by the response received and can only thank you again for your kind words. If you’d like to remember Ali in a positive way then I would direct you to her fund raising page.
