In case you haven't heard the latest news it's my sad duty to tell you of the passing of Julie Lynch and Sinead Dineen. Members of Ovacare Ireland will have met these two wonderful ladies at many coffee mornings and patient days.
I have just discovered that in fact they both died the same day in the same Hospice. I knew Julie more and we kept in touch by text. She was so encouraging to me and lifted me when I was down after yet another hospital drama. She just always had a cheery smile on her face and her optimism was contagious. I knew she was going into the Hospice but she made it sound like a holiday and I didnt worry. She even spoke about going on a cruise she had planned.
I knew Sinead from her performance art on patient days. She was a gifted artist and musician who had us all creating our own masterpieces . As for her expertise on the ukulele she lifted all our spirits when she played.
I would like to think these two beautiful souls met each other on their way to their eternal reward and will look out for the rest of us down here. May their gentle souls rest peace.

I’m so sorry to hear this. My heart goes out to you. I’m sorry that I never had the opportunity to meet those wonderful ladies. You painted lovely portraits of them.
In my haste to tell people the sad news I forgot to offer my own condolences to their husbands , children , family and friends. The loss to the Ovacare/ Ovacome community is huge but to their families it's immeasurable . My heart goes out to them.
That’s really sad news. There are so many inspirational women affected by this rotten cancer and too many dying too soon. Their work will go on and one day we will find a way to stop this disease in its tracks ❤️
I’m so very sad two more lovely ladies have been taken by this awful insidious disease and have gained their teal wings. They both sounded really inspirational and I am sure they will be missed greatly. I send their families, you and everybody who knew both of them, love at this difficult time. Thank you for letting us know this sad news ❤️Xx Jane
I did not know, thank you for sharing.i really thought she was going on the cruise...it was a beautiful cruise together to the end... rest in peace beautiful souls💕💕💕
It's been a while since I was on here and I am so very sorry to hear about Julie and Sinead! Julie was such a tonic at the meetings and Sineads art workshops were so helpful! I hope they are both resting in pain free peace. My sympathies to their families and friends.
Lovely to hear from you. It was suchA huge shock to hear about both of them. I had been in regular touch with Julie who as you know was such a bubbly person. She had such a lovely smile and was positive. We texted every few weeks but then my last text resulted in a reply from her husband with the sad news. I was so shocked that I didn't even think of posting on the website. I thought I should ask her husband and then Sharon told me to go ahead. She also told me about Sinead which was another shock. When I discovered that they both died in the same Hospice on the same day I decided to post about both of them. I hope that was appropriate . Then of course I forgot to offer my personal condolences to their families.
I hope you have been keeping well yourself. I'm not NED but stable after my last treatment this year. I'm trying to see the glass half full! I will be in Dublin for Christmas. My brother is going to Africa for a month.
I hope you.have lovely Christmas DeIrdre. Take care. X.X Mary
Molly O that is a lovely post, thank you. It was sad to see two younger ladies getting their wings. Both impressed me as much as they impressed you. But they would want us to keep on keeping on and fighting this dreadful illness. All the best
