Another Mystery!

Hi Ladies

Home on Sunday after a 13 night hospital stay. Back and abdomen pain which turned out to be an impacted bowel although I was still going to the loo! Treated with loads of laxatives, an enema and suppositories.

Seemed to lose a lot of bladder control and kept having temperature spikes every afternoon. If no spike on odd days blood pressure soared!

Ended up being some sort of urinary tract infection but loads of tests could not pinpoint it!

Lots of intravenous antibiotics and fluids but still no answers.

Sent home with lots of pain relief, totally black and blue arms from cannula attempts but feeling lots better! (Steroids?).

Should have chemo this Friday but delayed a week to let me pick up.

Hope everyone doing as well as possible.

Best wishes

Janet

Hi Janet. I’m glad you are home and feeling better. Your experience sounds miserable as well as mysterious! Take care of yourself so you can get back to chemo (I never thought that would be something to aspire to!). 🌻🌸🌷

Hi,

Thanks for reply.

This whole thing has been mysterious since the beginning! (2016).

Nice to be home.

Take care

Hi Janet, Not a very nice experience for you, but hopefully it has been sorted and you can get back to some sort of normality. It is a nuisance when chemo is delayed, but better if you can gain some strength before the next dose. If you are like me I have got all my chemo dates marked in my diary, but do realise that there could be a delay at some stage.

Take care, Georgette. x

Hi

Thanks for reply.

Feel really good at the moment, might be the amount of drugs I am taking!

Just hope it lasts.

Best wishes

Janet

That sounds quite an ordeal Janet. I hope it's all sorted now. Good luck for next week's chemo.
