I can't remember what I've told you all about the new grandson. I still believe I have chemo brain after all these years. Well anyway, Freddie's home and gaining weight. Poor little thing on his first day had to have the crash team to resuscitate him because his heart stopped and his breathing was bad. He was all tubed up and given antibiotics. After the lumbar puncture they found he had sepsis. All a bit of a worry but everything is hunky dory now and he's home with his mum and dad and little brothers and we've had loads of cuddles.
Still haven't got a photo yet because she didn't want any with the tubes in but 'David Bailey's' on stand by and I expect all the memory on my phone will be taken up with the pictures.
I hope everyone is having a good week. Love Zena xx

Oh, the poor sausage. Not a great way to spend your first day on earth. My grandson was the same but for different reasons. It was a worrying time and now look at him, running around like a loon at 2 years old. Don't wait until his first day at school before you send us a photo though, Zena. I may not be around that long..... Love and hugs xxx
I hope you will be here. I've got a photo on my phone just got to figure out how to get it on here.
I hope your neck is feeling a bit better. You've been in the wars as well.
These little ones have a lot of ups and downs they get through it though thank goodness. I was just glad he was a hospital birth and not a home birth. I don't think he would have made it.
I read your original post re you're grandson,so glad he's home and doing well.My own son spent almost eight weeks in hospital when born and underwent numerous operations he's now a strapping six foot 2 healthy 24 year old..
Thanks, you're right. That little voice that calls 'nana' when you walk through the door and their little face lights up. It's the best feeling ever. xx
Congrats lovely, so glad things are ok! Nothing like a new baby to lighten up your life and a relief when things are good.
My grandsons are 17 months and 4 now and we have been through some bad times, all the old illnesses have been doing the return: scarlet fever and hand foot and mouth, just to come to mind.
But that is because I think they go to nursery.
Just enjoy every minute, they keep me busy and do me good.
My other grandson is 22 months and he had hand foot and mouth last year. I wonder if it's because we're all so clean these days. They don't play in the mud and stuff like we did it's all indoors on the game machines. Having said that, Max loves being in the garden more than anything else. His favourite toy is his wheelbarrow.
I hope you are well. Carry on enjoying your grandchildren.
Poor little mite having to go through all that when he is so little. I'm so glad he is home now and I look forward to seeing his photo. He sounds like he is a little fighter like his Nanna!!!!
Hi Zenaj, such good news that Freddie is home and doing well now, do send a photo when you can,now to making many happy memories with him ..Take care Lorraine xx
We were late starters in our family. My mother had me at 34, I had my daughter at 34 and she had her son at 34. I just hope I live long enough for him to remember me.
Thanks Kathy, I've just posted a picture today. He is wearing a sock on his hand to cover the tubes. The cameras/phones will be clicking away now. Hope you are well xx
Thanks Joy it is such a relief and I've certainly had some lovely cuddles. I put a pic on this morning. I've only got two at the moment but I'll bore everyone to death with some more no doubt.
So pleased for you that all turned out well. Isn't it amazing how much we love our grandchildren and get love back? I always remember one of my granddaughter's was frightened one night when she was very young and my daughter-in -law said, "Don't be frightened, who looks after you best in the whole world?" , meaning herself, and my little granddaughter said, with such love in her voice, "Gran does". Not that I could have done much - I was at home. I was very touched, though, that my D-in-Law ruefully told me. We had such a laugh about it.
I digress, sending love and hoping little Freddie is fully recovered and enjoys having big brother/s. Hoping you're feeling ok as well.
