Restarted Chemo after surgery this week, with Cabo, Taxol and Avastin followed by filgrastim injection 24 hours later. Chemo session 8 hours so a long day on my own with the nurses and FaceTime etc but we coped very well considering. Just waiting for side effects to kick in (if any). CA125 down to 35 so something is working!
As to previous post have any of you had a "synchronous grade 1 endometrioid adenocarcinoma of the endometruim" which may need radiotherapy after chemo. This came as a big shock as had never been mentioned before. But am trying not to think about it till nearer the time if it happens
Sorry for the long message but needed to get it out of my system
Best Wishes to you all
Lots of Love & Hugs

Sending you all the best wishes and a big hug, too. I take 3 injections of Filgrastim after each session and I hope you'll have no side effects post chemo.
Sorry I cannot help with the new finding but possibly this was as a result of the biopsies they take during the surgery?
I suppose it depends on how good a job the chemo does - sometimes there's a concentrated area with some cancer still present, and for areas they can pinpoint with radiotherapy, that's what they use. As a targeted treatment, it usually works well, whereas chemo is not targeted, so is used for cancer of broader or systemic spread. Radiotherapy does have some side effects, but if you only need a couple, it shouldn't be too bad - something you need to discuss beforehand if you need it.
