3rd line becoming a problem.....

Hi Ladies , After another anaphylactic shock from carbo my onc decided to go with gemcitabine alone but over the last two infusions my ca125 has increased from 51 to 64 now 73 , I have asked about cisplatin has any of you ladies been through this , my onc has also suggested Avastin as I done well on this on my first line

Hi Lorent I had a grade 3 anaphalactic shock on carbo and now cannot have it and was put onto cisplatin. Its harsher in terms of side effects (my experience) but did the trick for me twice. Id definitely ask for it xx Kathy xx

Thankyou Kathy I was thinking of asking about the cisplatin as I'm a bit concerned with the avastin as I am on a blood thinner for a PE , plus I didn't like the BP problems I had last time although it did give me a good 16 months after first line .... Oh the dilemmas !!

Hi Lorent I had grade 3 anaphylactic shock on 2nd line, I was put on Cisplatin and found it quite harsh but doable.

Thankyou Ellsey it's hard to decide between the cisplatin and avastin oh well I should know more on Wednesday as my onc will give her decision on what she thinks is best but I do think it's best to have a back up...

Hi I'm on cisplatin & Gemcitabine infusion this is my second reocurrance finished chemo 30 may 18 I found my c125 was rising since chemo finished 30 may 18 to be told not to worry ct showing no evidence but now on right pelvic area were ovaries & hysterectomy iv 4 tumours so I'm put on above started 7 weeks ago feeling very nauesa dizzy and fatigue I'm only on my second chemo for reoccurance so dont know how I will fan out just yet
