I just wanted to let u all know I'm still fighting!! After Avastin, and 2 platinum chemos in addition to all the rest and olaparib, which was great for 18 month, then cisplatin, then gems. (I think) I again reacted to platinum and we are now going to start another Astrazeneca.
7 plus years and counting, stage 4, 70 yrs old.
See below. Oh and there is a new immunotherapy but I do not have all details. It's supposed to begin here in Maryland in a couple of months.
This new parp inhibitor I'm starting its called Zejula
Hi Ingrid. It's great to hear that you are managing to beat this beast of a disease down again and again. I wish you much & continued success on Niraparib. Let us know how it goes.
So glad you have a great will and mindset! 💪 It sounds like you have great physicians and great options! I have heard great things about the parp inhibitor Zejula! It is being considered for me as well when I have completed Carbo, Taxol and Avastin. Sending you lots of thoughts and love! 🥰 Peggy xx
Thank u ladies. One thing I wanted to add both the olaparib and zejula here in the states have a prohibitive cost BUT if u show that your income it’s under a certain level and in most cases it is .. they will ship it to u FREE OF CHARGE!!
Seven years is great news. Glad to hear that options are still there for you and you have the will and resilience to keep on. All the best for the next treatments. X
