I ended up back in hospital on Monday with a bladder infection, apparently this is quite common with catheter. Well as with all us ladies nothing is straight forward, had the catheter removed but after 9 hrs registra said the bladder may have some nerve damage and that can be also quite common with the type of surgery I had.
So back home with new catheter and antibiotics, have to go back on 17th to try and get catheter out and hopefully surgical results will be back by then. I had a little down moment yesterday thinking how did I get back to this place again.
Today the sun is shining the antibiotics are kicking in, so as we say onwards and upwards.

Sorry to hear you've been back in hospital again, good that you are now home and am sure the antibiotics will do the trick. It's understandable that you would feel down but sounds like you've dusted yourself down and are feeling positive again!
This OC is so tough but you've got the best approach, and I hope you have a restful weekend at home, big hugs to you,
Sad to read you had to go back to hospital. Hope the antibiotics do the trick and your bladder kicks in so you don’t need the catheter. Hope your results bring good news.
Where did you sign up to get all the complications in the book, Ellsey??
That said.. I have had a bladder infection everytime I got a catheter, and I've heard the nurses say the same.. that it's a common issue.
Think something got nicked during the surgery by accident?
I seriously hope that the bladder repairs itself in time. Hang in there. You're definitely on the other side now and it's just a matter of time before you feel better.
Every time I have had a catheter have had problems afterwards - they say recurring uti. I'd never had one before and since my second surgery not had one since following some high grade antibiotics. Painful and worrying but I am sure the antibiotics will soon sort it out.
Oh Ellsey, I'm so sorry to read of your problem, you poor Love. I do hope the antibiotics do the trick and you don't have any nerve damage. Keep your chin up, love and a hug, Solange xx😊
