I received a call from one of the GP at my surgery today, My GP is on holiday, She said they have received my results, She has arranged for my next steroid injection on the 10th December, But unfortunately because my ALT was high i will need another blood test which i new about, But i have to stop taking Meloxicam for two weeks and then they are going to do another blood test on the 7th December, If the results are better they will start me on the Methotrexate as prescribed my the Rheumy, so i will have to now wait until at least the 10th December to start the meds,
I'm getting used to all the delays now, But i have had some really great appointments,
So.. stop moaning.. Shirley, ( I'm talking to myself now better send in the men with the white coats lol.)
hugs and xxxx

The steroid should take you through Christmas which is good. Is the high alt result something that has resulted from the meloxicam. I do hope they can get you on to a good dmard which will help you keep the ra at bay.
Hi summer, They said because my liver function was high, and they need it to be lower in two weeks times, so they can start me on the mtx, she said if they do it now it will not make any difference,So i'm taking it as they believe it could be the meloxicam that is cause it, I'm going to call them tomorrow as i don't think i can wait until the 10th December, Does this sound right what they are doing?
Hi Shirley good luck for 7th and 10th if any of the white coat workers atre surtplus to your needs send them my way.
