Afternoon every one, me again. I was at the drs this morning about cystitis and hand.. More tablets for the cystitis more cream for hand. The inflammation in my fingers is RA. Well just to make life harder for me, but hey ho i can overcome it somehow or other. I am so righted handed i couldn't use my left hand to write with.
When we got out of the drs the arm on my glasses broke so while hubby went to the chemist i went to the opticians to see if they could help me. They have had to order me one,so hopefully it will be in tomorrow or friday. I tell you i am a walking disaster area!!
We then went to makro at leicester. I thought i would walk round there as i needed the exercise. £261 poorer and i don't know what we brought really. By the time we came to the checkout i was walking very badly. My knee had swelled up like a football. So while hubby and daughter paid and packed i sat down in a chair at the back of the checkouts. Hubby had to help me get up from the chair. When we got home i sat down and put the peas on my knee and took my drugs. I had two parcels delivered. One was a little parcel and it contained two hats i ordered from bonmarche, and boy do they suit me. One black one grey, thats me sorted out for the winter on headgear. The other was trousers, dress and a top. So i ended up with three pairs of pants and the dress. I am sending a top and a pair of trousers back.
My hubby and daughter have popped down the hospital to take a water specimen to the path lab. We had planned to go straight to the hospital from makro, but sadly i was too shattered. So here i am resting and catching up with what you are all doing.
So i hope you all have a lovely afternoon..... Sylvi..xxxx

Also to add we are going to devon on monday for four days at dawlish sands. Our daughter is coming with us as well. Forgot that when i was writing my blog....
With all that's been going on in your life lately, I think your deserve you days in Dawlish. Hope you get your specs better in time for the trip. Although it made you tired I should think the walk around the store did you good in more ways than one. Glad to hear your feeling a but better than yesterday. Take Care xx
I know it's off your subject but have just read your 'December blog', wished I had found this site then, I could have done with the laugh it agave me today. Thanks for mentioning it.
I knew it would make you laugh. I shall have to think of something equally funny to start off. sylvi.xx
You've been a very busy bee today Sylvi. I used to have a Costco membership and whenever we went there I used to spend a fortune. It's good that you got out though even if you are paying for it with a swollen knee. I think hat photos are needed as I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to see them x
Andy i wasn't on my own. Hubby and daughter were with me. I couldn't have done it on my own. We only go to makro about every 6 weeks to get the big things like soap powder etc. Sylvi. xx
Sylvi, sorry you've found out the hand problems are down to RA - (I think you need some more packs of frozen peas for that hand)
It always amazes me when we go to Cosco just how much we spend when you consider we get most of our groceries weekly from Tesco. (Even then OH insists on telling the checkout ladies that 'you wouldn't believe there's only two of us' - I remind him ... plus the dog! - he's only been taking me shopping for the last couple of years - he should have tried it when our 2 girls were at home with us!)
RA (and etc.) is really not fair to us ladies it takes away the 'shopping delight experience' most of us ladies got - and didn't appreciate so much before RA. I managed yesterday to get myself round Wilkinsons, on my own as OH sat in the car waiting for me and it was absolute bliss !!! No 'what do you want that for .......... this would be better ........ we don't need that .... etc.etc.
Hope today is a good one for you

PS: Off to the GP's this morning to see if they will give me the required injection of depo-medrone instead of my having to drag to the hospital so fingers crossed.
Judi,i can relate that ,i try to go to bedworth on my own as much as i can so i can look at the clothes and then it is the job to get them into the house without the spanish inquisition!!
im hoping when i go on it its only 12 months thats if his diagnosis is correct but some how i think the knee has finaly gone but ya never know with ya body do you.
im still pondering what to do when i see the knee specialist on 10 oct yet and what me options are he is going to blame it on somthing else i fear like back or somthing.
whish i could have got a couple of more years out of it and be like i was at march instead of the kick off in april cos this was a realy fast thing getting all over me body like that.
