Morning all i hope my post finds you well. Here is a bit about me and how i become so ill.
In 2001 we went to Tenerife and i got a chest infection while there and though it was treated,in the September i had another one which took over a month for me to recover from. Then in the November i went for my flu shot whereby i learnt i had had pneumonia as that was also the shot they gave.
Move forward to the new year and my fingers started to feel funny, tingling, sore etc(you get the picture) Any way i went to the drs and they sent me to the hospital which the appt. didn't come through until the September,so we went private and got told that yes he thinks it is RA,but to keep the Sept. appt. Whereby it was confirmed i had RA.
Things and dates get muddled so i won't go into trying to remember them. I have since had two knee replacements on the same knee due to the first one not being right(a story for another time) Since then i have been diagnosed with Fibro, cfs and i also have back problems which last year resulted in surgery to release the nerves. Now it is back again, seeing surgeon Saturday re; that problem.
So here i am barely able to walk far and stand much though i keep trying. My fingers are now playing up again as well. I have fluid on the knee that had all the surgeries on it as well.
My hobbies now are photography, colouring in books the adult ones and my garden,i try so hard to keep that going whatever happens to me.
The photos are of my darling hubby who takes great care of me.xxxx

Awe you've been through the mill Sylvi but keep fighting pet although it can be very tough at times, Ive got a chest infection at the moment as well antibiotics finish tomorrow but might need another dose as it's not shifting xxx
I like your attitude. I have multiple COPD flare up's early this year - Then suspected RA - Which turned out to be OA and made worse with a very low VIT D Count. I like you do gardening and I paint - Better keep moving as much as possible as I am having problems with my shoulder - Pain every day and muscle wasting . Specialist says that was due to inactivity, the one arm that was active....so he was wrong... I am telling you this to show you are not alone, we get bad years but hey just keep going. my youngest daughter and wife love photography... BTW lovely photo and your are lucky to have the support you get, and other similarity, how would I manage without my wife.. good luck to both of you ..
You’ve been through so much that you still deal with daily, yet your so positive 😊
You say you like colouring. I used to love doing cross stitch but can no longer manage the needles however I’ve discovered 5d diamond painting, which strangely as nothing to do with painting.
I thought you might be interested check it out on amazon and YouTube have great videos on ‘how to’ 💕💕
The kit comes with a printed picture on canvas that is colour coded at the side , a little like colouring by numbers. Only instead of colouring it comes with little packets of gems and a tool for you to put the gems in place. The canvas is sticky so you need no separate glue. It has a plastic clear sheet to protect it while you work. Have a look on you tube and then go on amazon to look at all the different designs they start at like £5. I’ve nearly finished my first of a group of dogs it really looks stunning. 💕💕
Thank you all for your lovely words to me on my suffering. I do my best to stay positive as i know i am never going to be any better than i am now(i hate that word better) We are all warriors as we all suffer. Love you all very much. This community was one of the first i joined when i got diagnosed.xxxx
You look such a happy spirit.I also thought I would be one who would have to care for my husband but roles have reversed. I seem to collect auto immune diseases and my late Mum would be so upset to see my struggles but like you I don't give up.It is good you like have your hobbies and like travelling.Takes your mind off your health for a while.
We have three holidays a year,we go to Whitley bay in the spring, summer holiday is in Cornwall(Polperro) and in the autumn it is Skegness. We need these holiday so we can get away from everything.xxxx
Im another one who expected to look after her oh. He has had copd since age 3, they told his family he would die when he was 3 and then said he wouldnt live past teens, then said he would never work or have children. Well he / we proved them wrong....he is still working (altho wouldnt be if I could) at 61yrs and have 2 adult children & 3 grandchildren. Determination runs thru our blood, or maybe we are both just bloody minded 😃. I do feel guilty tho as for past 21 months he has looked after me and he is struggling with his copd so much.
Keep posting sylvi its great ☺😃☺👍👍
Ps he has his pip face to face next week and been on dla for 20yrs and he doesnt believe he will get it and without it he cant stop work in 18months which is our plan
After having followed the forum for over two years your energy and possitive thinking and pictures of your lovely garden have always amazed me. Inspite of really hard times your energy and will to push on never seems to waver. I wish you all the best and hope RA would just give you a break once in a while. xxSimba
Yes SylvI it never rains but pours. Once u get one illness a whole lot more follow especially when u have RA. All sorts of aches and pains and tingles and swelling. Anyway u look happy and keep yourself busy and I guess that's all.one can do. I'm the same as u but still.consider myself lucky with all.my problems as in the big scheme of things they could be worse. No point moaning we just need to keep going. All the best.
Sorry u r in pain SylvI. It's awful this constant pain that is always there to a more or lesser degree and nothing takes it away. Yes tomorrow will hopefully be better.
