I'm back from corfu and will put up a picture and funny story later but the heat really suits my joints and I feel amazing thankfully. No pain in my hands at all and very little in my feet and I have now had 4 Humira injections and touch wood..........I think this might be the one!!! wooow (fingers still crossed if i could!!)
Also guess what, a letter was waiting on me on my arrival and....drum roll.....I got my pension!!!!!! Phew
What a relief, it feels like a ton of weight off my shoulders.
Just off to finish unpacking and then would u believe I have to pack for V festival and got disabled access starting on Friday and then next weekend Leeds festival again with disabled access, think i'm trying to hard to prove RA wont affect me!!!!! And try to keep doing the things I luv, But i will just have to stay at the disabled platform and i will be as happy as a pig in....well mud!!!!!
Hope you all good out there in HU world, and thanks for all the support when I was worried about all the extra info they needed at pension place, i really appreciate it.
Axxxx

Good to hear that your holiday in Corfu has done it's job! You sound as though your feet will not touch the earth for a while with all that you have planned over the coming days.
I will, and I suppose I now know I have the winter to get over all this frivolity!!!

Hi Allanah - hey that's really great news all round - I'm so delighted for you! I too am having a really good spell with lowered dose of MTX and Hydroxy which both seem to be working and no sickness for 2 weeks hooray! So I'm having a bit of time off the site to get work done - but displacement activities are hard to quit so thought I must pop in and say well done to you re the pension, heat and Humira news! TTx
Brilliant news for you when you got home then!! You need and deserve it. At last I know there is hope out there after all. I should be getting some feed back and decision on my IHR very soon and only hope they agree it for me too? You must be so relieved and what a weight off your shoulders! Take time and enjoy your next few weeks of events. Well done!
Ye, i'm very relieved! The letter though says i should hear within the next six weeks how much and what lump sum i would get after they calculate it all, but it will keep us going a bit better!
Hope you hear soon and i will blog after the festivals
Well done allanah, not only have you had a good holiday, but your pension came through as a welcomong home present for you. Enjoy the festivals. Love sylvi.xx

Hi Allanah,
That's great news all round. I look forward to the Cofu photo's and funny story and am extremely envious of your plans for the festivals. Do a bit of mud surfing for me please.
Thanks Judy, i will tell you it involves a snake! And will put it up hopefully tomorrow, been unpacking and ironing and just found out my daughter CAN iron!! Axx
Thanks Mary, yes at last i can write a positive blog, but this is all experience in the RA pathway isnt it, I know now about pensions, dla, coping, pacing, therapies wow...its been a steep learning curve!!
what it says is "it is accepted that the applicant is in addition to meeting Tier1 condition (permenant incapacity for the duties of nhs employment) on the balance of probabilities permanently incapable of regular employment of like duration ( regard being had to the number of hours et) The tier 2 condition is met."
So that means as well as tier one i fit tier two and I have no idea what that means, do you? It says they will be in touch though. xx
Yes, thats brilliant news. It means that you will have extra years added to your pension, the pension will be enhanced and the lump sum bigger. My occupational health Dr told me that its hard to get level 2. Well done xxxx
hee hee, I win the being sick competition!!! would much rather be well though lol!! So just waiting on the figures next, but relieved we will get something. love
