Glad you feel your medical went well, I'm saddened to say that could be a result of the criticism ATOS received in the Panorama and Dispatches programs last Monday evening.

However, as well as you feel the medical went I advise you to wait a couple of weeks then phone the DWP and request a copy of your medical report, see if you still feel the same then.

Often when reading the medical report people have felt as through the health care provider had written about someone else.

In fact my own medical report was an absolute disgrace, full of inaccuracies, assumptions and downright lies, even though I got the required points (over 15) I made a formal complaint about the written report. I'm happy to say on my second DWP review I was placed in the support group, a massive weight lifted from my shoulders.

well personally, my atos assessor was a lovely lady too, i believed she was a compassionate human being on my side, but she failed me and not once did she acknowlage my fatigue or pain.

i was having problems with my leftvarm and hip witch she accepted, but my right arm (even though im left handed) was in her opinion fine.

yesterday i lay in bed most of the day because id overdid it visiting a relative in hospital three days in a row, my tramadol, paracetemol and morphine didnt take the pain away and i had to wrap my right arm in vet wrap to try to take the pain away.

i am certainly not able to work - atos are cortupt, and just because you can lift a kettle once, doesn't mean you can do it all day.

i was also ignored when i said i couldnt sit for over 15 minutes - she kept me sitting for 10 minutes and wrote i could sit for an hour!

she also held the fact that i have pets against me because i take them to the vet when they are sick - the vet lets me have evening appointments and i push their carrier in a push chair - three pet rats are certainly different from a huge dog which could pull on a leader and need long walks.

in the time ive joined this forum, i've noticed all of you have someone - i don't - my health has been so bad for so long that friends and family left a ling time ago. my beloved pets are truely all i have and without them life isn't worth living. especially now with these horrendous joint problems ive got.

yes i struggle to get them to the vet or clean them out but without them, i am truely alone.

what kind of monster would hold having a friend against you? i'll tell you - ATOS.

they are wolves in sheeps clothing. first do no harm? well that was the first thing atos did to me.

they don't listen - they put the answers into their computer that will give the dwp the numbers and figures they are wanting, regardless of the outcome of the person.

did you know that 32 people a week are dying because of these 'medical assesments'?

these muppets who work for atos aren't doctors all all - do they specialize in rheumatology, psyciatry or dematology? even our own gps wouldnt be so bold as to assume what is wrong and right with us like the atos doctors do.

and some of the questions she asked me were quite frankly unaccepable, i really wish i told her she had not right to ask me that, but like everybody else, i assumed she was a doctor working for sick people but, apparently not :(

what a horrible experience for you .I had noticed that the critera for PIP does not include pain or falls utterly crazy at least DLA mention both plus stumbles and discomfort the new system seems not to mention either ! Both vital areas of problems for us with RA hope fully it will be changed .good luck with your results .

That seems to be a common thing at present - even down to sickness policies. I work for the NHS, and our sickness policy used to include the proviso that staff with disabilities should not be subject to the same targets and triggers as other staff, if their disability was causing absences. The new policy makes no mention of disability (apart from a vague allusion to the DDA), and has reduced its first trigger point down to 3 episodes in 12 months, or more than 9 days.
