Good morning has anyone had a bad reaction to their second shingles jab? First one was fine a slight sore arm but this time well I can’t tell you the reaction I had ….. muscle ache painful ears severe headache and a temperature anyone else suffered or was it just me!!! The arm didn’t hurt how ironic is that.

Yes, but I was the opposite to you . Similar symptoms after the first one. I felt dreadful and had to stay in bed for a day. Thankfully it didn't last long. With the second one I only had an achy arm. Hope you're feeling better soon .

I had a bad reaction to the second jab - sore arm but high temperature, headache, muscle and joint pain. It was bad enough for me to stay in bed for a couple of days.

It was certainly a rough night feet up on the sofa day.

I had a very sore arm with the first one. The second one my arm was so much more painful. The following day I got a very painful armpit and as the morning went on the pain went into my chest. It got worse and hurt to take a deep breath. I rang 111 and they sent an ambulance! They did all the checks and assured me it wasn’t my heart so I opted to stay at home. It took about 5 hours to settle and I was fine the next day.

Yes and arm hurt too. For over 2 weeks but better than Shingles I thought although I did get another bout but not too bad. Shingrex is only 70% effective but still worth it.

Arm is very red today I know what you mean I’ve had shingles a few times.

Like MadBunny I had a really bad reaction to the first one and was laid up for 2 days. Haven't had the 2nd one yet, I've got that to look forward to.

Yes! Both injections hurt so much - and then it felt like I had flu the day after both jabs.

Both jabs gave me a very sore arm with an egg sized lump. It took almost ten days for the lump to go down. I had a very bad flare after the first but not been too bad after the second.

Had both no problems, the ones they give to immunosuppressived are not live vaccines so can only give a sore arm

Sorry it’s affecting you like that but I was very lucky, hubby and I had only had a slightly sore arm. Hopefully it won’t last for long.

Yes second one was a stinker arm ached for 2 days plus headache, a bit of an intersection not nice.

I had a terrible reaction to the 2nd shingle jab!. I was ill for about 4 days. Every muscle in my body hurt, I couldn't walk without pain. I felt so ill, it was truly horrendous.

Yes! Hope that means I’m now well protected 🤞🏻

No reaction to either, except a mildly sore arm. Guess I was lucky! Hope it still worked…

well yes, I thought it was just me. Absolutely knocked to be sideways. Felt like I had a really bad bout of flu and it took me a week at least before I felt almost human.

Very interesting. Do you know, or, can find out which shingles vaccine you had. I have just had my first 2 rituximab infusions and must wait 12 weeks before I can have the shingles vaccination. Rheumatology have advised that it must be a NON LIVE VACCINE OF SHINGRIX.

I’m to have mine on Thursday, I’m a bit worried as I normally react to any vaccine. Did you stop your bio med and methotrexate injection. Thanks x

Me, too. I was sick for a few days. I tell anyone I know who is getting it to plan a time when you have no fun plans!

Yes, terrible flare with first jab . Second jab felt very ill, flu and vomiting. Lasted about 5 days….. I apparently said” when will this ever end?” to my husband whilst being sick, much to his amusement 😳🤣Thankfully it did pass and hopefully better than getting shingles. Hope you feel better soon and that the worse is over xx
