I have had RA now for over a year but feel it been a lot longer I also have fybro recently my teeth are hurting with a strange taste is this normal

My teeth have become extremely sensitive since developing RA/being on MTX but the dentist doesn't see anything wrong with them. Taste is normal though.

Not had that happen, I’d go and see your dentist, maybe you’ve got a bad tooth, best get checked out.

Try speaking to your dentist the next time you visit …there are some drugs used for RA…like some Biophosphonates that you are told that you should tell your dentist about.

Ask whoever prescribes you RA meds whether anything you take needs to be discussed with your dentist.

Hmmm ho knows with RA ? My teeth are sensitive and I find when I'm in a flare seems to set off my wisdom teeth, feels more swollen and painful. My dentist checked everything no anomalies, I have regular hygienist teeth clean and dentist check ups. Like the others have said if you're able go to the dentist to check your teeth.

I lost my sense of taste occasionally can taste food I am on weekly MTX injections but to be honest my taste went when I first developed RA, along with loss of appetite.

I get tooth/ gum pain every now and then and think I need to go to dentist but pain goes after 24-48 hours. I think it’s RA related. I get 6 a regular month dental clean and check up and am told the teeth are fine 🤷‍♀️
