I took ill at the weekend when our son and daughter-in-law were with us. I went up to the loo and didn't come down. They rang 111 and the paramedics came out to see me. They were in two minds about taking me to hospital or not until they sounded my chest they thought i had fluid on the lungs. So they rang back to 111 and got a dr to call back. Well when they spoke to him he decided it would be best for me to go down to A&E. The paramedics were lovely with me and very caring with me. The A&E was very quiet down there and i was got through very quickly. They took bloods and then i had a x-ray which showed i had a chest infection in both lungs. So i was given seven days of antibiotics and at the present moment in time i am beginning to recover, but i am still very weak. I haven't been out since i came out if hospital on Sunday and i haven't got dressed either. I am not going shopping with Bob either this morning. I am going to stay in until i have finished the antibiotics at the weekend.
Have a lovely week all of you. xxxxx

Sorry to hear your poorly again, your not having much luck. Take it easy, and enjoy the TLC I’m sure you’re getting from Bob. Hope you feel better soon, and that the antibiotics kick in soon x🤗
Crikey that’s another bit of ill health you could do without. I’m so sorry to read this and the problems you’ve had. It’s vital to keep warm and drink plenty of fluid. I hope you’re behaving yourself ! I’d prescribe watching a few good tv series like Grantchester, The Crown, and Yellowstone to start with. It’s just a thought but it might be a good idea to ask GP if it is possible to do a sputum test to make sure you’ve had the right antibiotics to clear the infection as it does seem to reoccur or if the Respiratory Consultant will prescribe a small dose for the future to see if it can prevent further infections. It’s so debilitating to get infections over and over again. I hope your heart is behaving itself too. Sending hugs from Kent.x
Oh Sylvi, I’m really sorry to hear how poorly you are. It’s awful isn’t it, just so unfair that you are getting one horrible thing after another right now. You are needing spring and sunshine.
Medway-lady’s suggestion of a sputum test to check they have got the right antibiotics is a good one - last UTI that I had they sent off a sample t check I was getting the right antibiotics. Love her prescription for TV viewing too, we’ve been watching old episodes of Dad’s Army but I’m not sure your chest could cope with the laughter.
So stay warm, get lots of sleep and stay well hydrated, (((big hugs for you and Bob))) 💐🌷🌹🌺🥀🌸🌼🌻🪻
O sylvi, so sorry to hear you are unwell again, stay in and recover best thing, when I’m down I watch golden girls find it hilarious !! All the best to you 😊
So sorry to hear you're so poorly again Sylvie😥. I do hope you soon feel much better, but I do think medway-lady is right about having a sputum check to make sure the infection in both lungs is cleared. Hubby's consultant many years ago prescribed Cliff keep a rescue pack at home of Doxycycline for two weeks and it really has been invaluable over the years. As you've been in the wars so much lately it might be worthwhile chatting to your consultant about this. Take care . Joy xxx
Thank you all very much i am overwhelmed by all your good wishes. I am slowly getting better. The trouble is my heart problem is still there and until i get the surgery i won't be well.xxxx
Oh Sylvi, you keep your feet up, stay in the warm & trust your own instincts. Thank goodness Bob is feeling so much better now, take care & love the pic xx
I did ask the dr to visit which he did and he said the chest is getting better, but he said it could take up to six weeks to recover from this infection. Thank you and everyone here for caring. I really appreciate all your concern. xxxxxx
