As you are all aware i have had hubby in hospital a few weeks ago, well we were down there last night with the same problem. He had pains in his chest couldn't eat and he had a job getting fluids down as well.
We had to see out of hours gp at the hospital and he automatically sent him through to a&e to be admitted. The doc who he saw was very thorough. He had x-ray and a load of blood tests. The result was his heart is good and he looked healthy. He was taking one set of drugs at the wrong time. He thinks it is acid reflux and he sent us home. Anyway this morning he took his drug and low and behold he is feeling rough again. He is seeing the doc this morning because the doc last night wondered if the drug he is taking does not suit him. The reaction he has had this bears fruit to that.
So this morning of we go again. Bedworth here we come. Will let you all know the result.

Hi Sylvi, sorry to hear hubby is having problems again. My father had similar problems with his drugs and one or two didn't suit him at all and he was taken off them. My hubby has also been taken off a drug he was on as his GP was horrified to find he was on something which was causing him problems and told him he shouldn't have been on it anyway. You just can't win sometimes.
I have recently gone through my drug list with my GP and have come off some and cut down the dosage on others. So it pays to keep an eye on things. I have long maintained that too many drugs fight each other and my father, who was a pharmacist, used to have the same view as well. Trouble is we just don't know enough of what is in most of these drugs but take them because we trust our doctors and hope they know what they are doing! My father was never very confident about that either! Particularly as he had saved several patients from being killed by their GPs because of the wrong dosages!
Hope you soon get it sorted out. Loved the picture - hubby looks as if he is about to start a civil war what with that cannon. LavendarLady x
Your not having much luck at the moment.Glad your hubby was well taken care of-it does make a difference. You need to buy some shares in the hospital car park-you'd make a fortune!
Thanks ladies, the drug was lansoporole, yet it suits me fine. Just as well the car park didn't cost us this time as my good neighbour took us down and dropped us and came back and picked us up. I have to say that i'm fed up with hospitals altogether. I'm always the one down there and i've got 2 this week alone. As you can see i'm up early again, kept dreaming of strange things. I think the dreams are connected to what i've been doing ,but don't know why. Last night we went for a meal with our local b/legion and event that was booked a few weeks ago. Hubby was worried about going what with what has just happened with him. It was a meal at one of our members restaurant and he was a gurkha. Hubby ate but didn't go overboard and he didn't suffer unlike me who had a blown tummy with lots of wind. Highly reccomend Gurkha food just enough spice, but not to hot to burn your mouth out. He is still asleep unlike me who has been up and down all night.
Well ladies i will sign off Thanks for enquiring after hubby Sylvi. xx
