hyrimoz vs cosentyx

Hello im taking hyrimoz for 9 months now. Good responding on my spondy my back its really better now. But i had several bacterial infection ( laryngite, sinusite etc) probably to often. My reuma told me that we can switch to secukinumab ( probably cosentyx) that i believe i can better tollerate the side effects.

anyone any experience?

Tanks in advance

As the purpose of the treatment with both is to supress part of the immune system you may still have an increased likelyhood of infections.

However the two drugs do inhibit different parts of the immune system: adalumimab is a TNF inhibitor and secukinumab inhibits interleukin 17A. So I suppose it is possible that you might have different responses.

I dont the same switch. Tbh I've never had any problems wiyh infections while on biologics. I've been on cosentyx for a few years now and its worked for me as good as other biologics. Although for me they seem to loose their effectiveness after about 5-6 years. They still work but i would say prob loose about 20% of the effect.
