I have been told by my delivery company (Healthnet) that there is a national shortage of Hyrimoz (Adalimumab) which is why they were unable to deliver the full quantity that was prescribed. Has anyone else experienced this? Or does anyone know about the national shortage?
National shortage of Hyrimoz: I have been told by my... - NRAS
National shortage of Hyrimoz
Same for Etanercept here now and being delivered monthly. I’ve no idea why though.
It’s a mystery! I can’t find anything about a national shortage when I Google it. I suspect it’s more a financial reason. It’s a nuisance having more frequent deliveries though.
I think your right but its the same here, I wonder how many extra journeys are caused and the cost of that monthly delivery. I'm retired so can stay home but not so easy and what a waste of leave if a person needs to take a day off to accept delivery at home.
I'm on enbrel and I yesterday i had a phone call to arrange my next delivery. Nothing was mentioned about it being just for one month and not two.
Sciensus have only ever delivered it a month at a time. Due to shortages ???That's over 3 years now the shortages have been in place. Abatercept was every two months Honestly its a shambles.
They deliver to me and I've always had 2 months worth of drugs each time. Been on enbrel for 11 years now. Delivery is booked for next Friday.
I’ll call them as I’ve only ever had 1 month. Find out why unless it’s also local demand. I don’t know but going to find out. Lol
I've been waiting near a month for Health Net to contact me to start me on Hyrimoz/Adalimumab. I chased Rheumatology who chased them and Health Net told them similar to your original comment. The NHS are having trouble sourcing it apparently? I couldn't find anything online about a shortage either. Long story short I am now waiting on Health Net contacting me to start me on Yuflyma instead.
