Hi Jack. I took adalimumab for six monthd, but in my case it was Amgevita. It worked so very well for me that my energy levels were back up to normal and the joint pain was significantly reduced. Unfortunately, I found the side effects unbearable including cold-like symptoms and a stuffy nose. Perhaps this chimes with your experiences?
my only side effect is stuffy nose…that annoying me…but i keep going becouse for the rest its really amazing, im back to normal life without any problem. Hope try to find a solution for stuffy nose, perhaps some supllements…i dont know
Have you thought of asking for a referral to ENT? My daughter had a problem with a blocked nose for a long time and eventually saw a consultant. Turns out there was a problem with her nasal passages. She has recently had surgery on her nose and problem solved. It may be pure coincidence and nothing to do with your medication. I do hope you find an answer soon.
hi, I was on adulimumab and caught a flu cough virus and then ended up with chest infection that I didn’t know I had as the symptoms were mild until it floored me - be careful. Get a chest X-ray. I would come off the drug whilst I was ill, go back on it when recovered and just ended up getting recurring pneumonia. I now have a problem with my lung where it is inflamed and they blame that on the rheumatoid arthritis, but I believe it was triggered by the biologic. I’m now in Abatacept.
