Hi I have a fungal infection on my torso corner of eye and corner of my mouth. Several tubes of cream later its not healing. All my GP can offer is more cream. I've tried ringing rheumatology clinic and can't get an answer. I have an appointment for the middle of February. I'm worried if I should keep taking Abatacept and Hydroxychloraquine. I've only been on hydroxy for about 3 months I also thought maybe there's a connection has anyone else has similar please

Fungal infection
Nothing similar but with a pharmacy background I'm thinking if it is definitely fungal rather than bacterial then antifungal tablets such fluconazole or lamisal type oral medication
Im going back to the doctors he did mention tablets but thought they'd be hard on the liver he did say my liver was OK though so he may consider this THANK YOU
I suffer with infections on my bottom lip since been on Benapali. Dr gave me antibiotic cream but In the end had to have a dose of oral antibiotics that sorted it out for a good while. Unfortunately I still get them try and keep my lip moisturised as much as possible. Hope this helps ☺️
It is best to differentiate between fungal and bacterial as they are different and the treatments are different!.The advice re moisturiser is good lack of b12 can cause mouth cracking
Speak to your pharmacist…much more likely to know the cause,
