Hi all. I have been put onto Benepali and been waiting today for my delivery. I got the attached texts from them which has really confused me, and I find their call centre so hard to get through to. Are they typically hard work or is this a one off?
Sciensus Delivery: Hi all. I have been put onto... - NRAS
Sciensus Delivery
Unfortunately not a one off they are terrible. Given that the time actually hadn’t passed, they may have sent the last text in error.
They vary - sometimes they are good and it's all smooth, other times not so much. It's a shame they were able to put out such a useless uninformative message to you. I'm guessing that perhaps the refrigerated van broke down, or the driver had to finish his shift before getting to you. But being left in the dark is no fun. I would continue trying to reach them via phone or online, and anticipate that they may try to deliver again, although sometimes delivery process is area based so there may not be a van in your vicinity for another week. Best of luck.
I tried to call at 7.20 and the automated message said the office is closed and is open 8am - 8pm 🙄. I’ve requested a call back via the app. I have the nurse coming next week to show me how to inject. So they need to get a move on.
inject into your tummy. Thigh can be painful.
Call and insist on delivery ASAP. Had the same happen a while back, I insisted on next day delivery.
Morning Pink🖐I was told i was going on a biologic back in July and had all the blood tests and then a follow-up with the nurse who said a delivery company would contact me back in September.
I am still waiting for them to contact me, I was wondering how long this takes or whether I've been forgotten.
Hope you get yourself sorted and when was your appointment if you don'tmind me asking?
Have a good day.
Mine was a similar timescale. Was waiting ages and then Sciensus called me to arrange my non delivery.
It might be worth chasing this up. When I went on to a biologic I was told the delivery company would contact me. Waited a few weeks and heard nothing. A friend who is a nurse suggested I contact the consultant’s secretary. When I rang, she wasn’t in the office but as I was leaving a message with the person who answered the phone, she said that the lady who dealt with organising the biologics was at the next desk and passed me over to her. She was very helpful and the delivery was then organised very quickly. Mostly my deliveries have been organised and made without problems. My company is not Sciencus but Lloyds Pharmacy clinical healthcare.
I haven’t been given another option
I must be in the minority because I've never had a problem with them, I use their app. to confirm deliveries or send a message.
I had a horrid delivery guy shouting at me in my garden and some text messages saying you’re next drop then he arrived three hours later!! Apart from that it’s been fine but when they were H@H a few years back I used to get you are 47th in the queue when I phoned!! Errr no! Hope yours settles down. I’m not sure I’d want it arriving up to 8.30pm unless that’s what you’d requested. Did anything arrive? 🙏🏻
I got this and they re delivered 3 days later due to weather.
They are exceptionally good in my area. They're on time and they're text giving time of delivery super accurate. I'm surprised that you're having problems where you are.
I live in Liverpool and also on Benepali. I have to say that in the 3 years or so I have been on this I have never had a problem with H@H or Sciensus
it seems to vary depending where you live. I’ve been on benepali for 5.5yr. I’ve only had 2 issues in all that time. One was failed delivery, due to the van breaking down. The second wasn’t delivery, which was due soon, and they claimed they hadn’t received the new prescription, which they had. It was resolved quickly and I never missed a dose. Good to hear you have a new date. They tend to work set days in particular areas, mine is Wednesdays and Thursdays. Hope benepali helps you as much as it does me 🤞
Sadly I would like to say this is a one off... However I find them an absolute nightmare causes so much unnecessary extra stress to us! Hope they get it sorted soon for you xx
I'm waiting on my first delivery from them tomorrow.I haven't had issues with other companies, just hoping all goes well.
Keep trying until you get an answer. I hope it works out for you.
Yep. Sorry to say that’s fairly typical. I’ve had a number of issues with them and phone calls are often frustrating. They usually manage to get it right in the end but it can be hard work.
Hope you get it sorted out soon.
Only had I delivery failure but otherwise no complaints
My daughter's deliveries have been just OK, they have made mistakes in the past which are crucial! They are very hard to get through to as well. When HAH were running this service it was much much better. To think my daughter has been receiving deliveries since 2010, and to see the down changes are remarkable. I think that everything is going down hill! This is very sad and can be very stressful for patients, they have much to contend with already. Patients can do without the added stress from Sciensus. We live in Essex, nearer East London, if it does make a difference where the patient lives???
I found sciensus awful too and I wasn’t the only one. I think the hospital got so sick of complaints they ditched sciensus for another company who were much better. I don’t have to use them anymore so don’t know if the new company are better or not. I’m in Leicestershire. Hope you resolve your problem but it’s not something you should have to deal with. I also find it mind boggling that a change of meds can take three months or more when you have the X-rays and blood tests etc and they’re all good to go so why 3 months ?? Very frustrating.
I think it depends on where you stay. I have excellent service from them and I live in NE Scotland. Can’t fault them, and I know they are given terrible routes with little time for error or delays on the road, as to the phone line someone always answers eventually I put it on speaker and do tasks I’ve never waited more than 30 minutes.
I have found them really difficult Hope you have better luck 🍀
Same here and read my post or PM me. I live in Medway and told van broke down for same time. I've complained to Kelly Tolhurst and NHS etc etc.
The BSR are asking for a parliamentary enquiry into them.
Hi Pink, that sounds pretty stressful. I had Sciensus only for 3 deliveries when trying adalimumab and they were OK. SInce being 12 months now on Filgotinib, Alcura do the deliveries and my experience has been excellent. The first 6 months I'd contact the rheumy nurse a few weeks ahead to make sure the drug was ordered - one time the rheumy hadn't ordered but responded very fast to deliver right on the last day with only a couple of days notice. The last two deliveries (a 2-month & 3-month supply) have come in good time without me even having to ask or check they were ordered. In fact they've told me the next lot in coming next week (even though I still have a month and a half left - I'll tell them next time so that I don't build up a stash!). So, it seems I'm very fortunate in that way. Really hope your service from Sciensus improves....you don't need the stress and physical challenges of not having the meds on time. Take care X
I have been asked to report any difficulties with Sciensus to my rheumy team. Sciensus have such a dire record here in West Yorkshire it's beyond frustrating. It seems to be a pretty much hit and miss service depending on where you are. I wish you luck
I’m in WY too, They are very rigid in their admin procedures and I’ve been tying to get two full used sharps bins returned to them for over two years now and they say I can’t book it in with them each time I try. 🤷♀️
Understood. I've been trying to get a sharps bin for the Amgevita pens and a biologics card for over two months to no avail yet. Funnily enough I've just received a phone call from Sciensus which I couldn't take and a voicemail and txt saying they're going to deliver 29/11. It's my birthday so am going to rearrange. I blowed if I'm stopping in for them!
