Good Morning All,

Just wanted to pop a quick post about Sciensus and let you know that we at NRAS understand your frustration. We are in contact with Sciensus and ensuring they are aware of the concerns you have raised.

We have also tries to share individual cases which have been raised on HealthUnlocked with Sciensus to provide real evidence and hopefully assist in resolving these issues.

This is not an ideal situation and we at NRAS are aware and are doing out up most to support you on the HealthUnlocked community.

Kind Regards

Tim - Head of Services at NRAS

I think we all need if we have problems to write to Sciensus to create and keep a paper trail for auditing. Then do as I did write to MP and especially if they are looking at the contracts as they make the decisions. It also means that patients are not just numbers but people who have lives not just conditions. It is also vital to keep a record of every text and not just let it go. I know not everyone is able to express in writing but I’ll help anyone compose a letter. This company can’t just treat us as a profit generating unit. I’m sick of reading about the problems that they seem unable to address and whilst it’s great that the NRAS is helping there is strength in the number of MPs that could help if we all complained. And don’t use a template letter as it’s not really listened to! It has to be about the individual. Thank you and power to the NRAS. X

They don’t seem to care about resolving the problems for many but it has improved for me at present since I got the App.

I had the app that wasn’t the problem it was all confirmed delivery then on its way etc then next stop then delivery failed. It looked like I wasn’t in but I was, it was their issues and being frugal with the truth. I think they simply don’t have enough staff, don’t keep enough stock and are slapdash. They are supposed to have changed wording on texts and have improved as health care at home companies are being looked at by a parliamentary committee. I think the answer is simple give the contract to Amazon or Tesco both can organise deliveries and they arrive. Lol xxx

LOL 😝 I do think they haven’t enough staff. Also you have to order a new bin or collection about 2 months in advance or I do! I’ve still got two from start of the pandemic and they haven’t collected yet. Crazy but the deliveries of meds are ok. Well, since the delivery guy was yelling at me in my garden a year ago, Sciensus upped their game. I think maybe you have to have a crazy delivery guy yelling at you in your garden before Sciensus do anything? 😳xxx

Oddly enough I’ve literally just ordered a sharps bin so will not hold out much hope of getting it. Xx Makes me so cross how the idea that they are efficient beggars belief. I’m sure that it’s like the awarding of the masks contract, my husband was yelling at the telly that the masks shown were dust not medical so if he could see that over the airwaves how could a government procurement process not? It is such a waste of money.

Drivers keep spares on the van if you ask. I never seal mine until I know I have one in pack or driver gives me one.

They don't have many but been lucky so far when I needed one. Only thing that has gone right in 9 years.

I’m the same, always been able to order. On the one occasion I forgot, he said he carried spares and fetched me one. I also don’t seal till I know I have the replacement one

Thank you. Sciensus is working alright for me at the mo but I use the App. It’s Lloyd’s who are the constant problem for me ! Wondering if the Sciensus App could help patients on here more.

The app doesn't work for me. I've rang them several times to be told there are problems with the app. That said, my deliveries have come on time .. .so far 🤞

I’m glad they have. I’m shocked the App works for me as my phone is usually quite psychotic! 😝

I’m refusing all please to change the current situation and use the tech even though I build websites and am not in the slightest bit tech phobic.

in reply toNeonkittie17

I agree re Lloyd’s, they are hopeless, careless and useless.

I have had Lloyds Pharmacy Clinical Homecare deliver my meds for the last 5 years and they have been very good. No missed deliveries and always delivered within the two hour slot they give me. My only slight issue is that they don’t deliver in the evenings so it means taking a day off work sometime to wait for them. But now my husband is retired that is his job!

Thank you. They used to check what I needed and arrange delivery. Now they just tell me the delivery date. Fortunately my drug is ambient and has a long use by date. Just as well. I have quite a stash but reading what others say on here I don’t want to rock the boat so have not sought to change the current situation. Crazy.

there communication is poor can never get hold of anyone . As for their app , you tell them how many you have and for some reason they deliver too many , this hasn’t worked for me because I had to stop and now have quite a few in my fridge . Had to put a call into rheumy nurses to stop them delivering more .

Runrig01 profile image

On the last 2 deliveries, I’ve had extra due to infections. I’ve been able to go into the app and reschedule for several weeks later so I don’t have lots of surplus stock. My only frustration with the app, is after logging in on the app, it insists I also log in on the website too.

I too have7benepali epipens in fridge, but no one seems to want to collect.they said they will only destroy them anyway, what a waste of hundreds of pounds.keep me posted as to your outcome as I need the fridge space!

I contacted them a week ago to stop next delivery, had op and dealing with numerous things meaning not allowed my meds. Explained the situation, as not taken any from last delivery and they said they would put delivery on hold until 8 weeks or until I contacted them. Got text yesterday confirming delivery on on Monday. I have no end of messed it deliveries in 9 years of them delivering my Humira, including being left without any. The app is absolutely useless and a waste of time. They lie and blame hospital for no prescriptions, when I can tell them exact date prescription was sent to them. They never request prescription on time, change delivery dates and addresses that were used as one offs as well.

my story similar. I started idacio late March. My prescription date mid February. Sciencus at fault for this delay. Delivery stopped in September leaving me without the drug for 6 weeks. Their excuse that my prescription lasted 6 months and had lapsed from the hospital. This was not true. This lapse has caused my RA pain to my hips and feet overnight and morning. This wears off in the day. I have an additional appointment with the consultant in 3 weeks time. I don’t know if the drug will work again for me as the first 6 months on idacio I felt very well

Thanks for that, I have had 3 failed deliveries recently, no text from the courier company mo image of him trying to deliver on my security camera. I have called them and told them the courier company is screwing them over in a nutshell, expecting delivery on the 7th of April won't hold my breath, absolutely useless company they should use Amazon at least they deliver on time.

medway-lady profile image
medway-lady in reply toSeatgeorge

Dont speak but email them. They can deny a phone call but not an email and blind copy yourself in. If we don’t stand up for ourselves this is going to get worse. In my case the courier never had them on board, I was told broken down but 2 minutes from my home , they lie.I live in the sticks and offered to meet the driver, oddly enough their story changed……

They are iso 9001 registered meaning they have to comply to thier own procedures, if they say you will receive a text then they have to send you one otherwise it is a failure of their own procedures, plus all telephone calls are recorded the reason for this you can ask for a transcript of the call. 🙂

I have been trying to get them to collect 7 epipens of Benepali,as I know how expensive they are,but no success so far. They told me they will be destroyed, which seems appalling, costing over£100 each, but they are adamant.if they never come should I try and destroy them myself,or take them to chemists on g.p surgery,as fridge space very limited!thankyou.
