Just received an October appointment for covid/winter flu - which I'm happy to take together. Icing on the cake is that my partner has also been booked in for the same at the same time. Given that I'm classed as vulnerable that is smart thinking, and I'm so pleased I wanted to share this!

Excellent Cathie.I'm hoping I hear soon
That’s good to hear, I’m on holiday so hope mine s on its way as well.
Mine came by email C
That was good, I’ve never had an email from NHS but what a good move, save on stamps and paper etc x
Hi Cathie,I also got appt for both middle of October was sent by text.Is this your sixth vaccination?I just started new med last week filgotinib must check with rheumy about vaccinations whether to delay covid one.Good that your partner has got appt at the same time.
Yes number 6. It falls 4 weeks after my rituximab infusion so that’s perfect. Good luck with new meds
what were you on before your new meds? I hope its working well.
I have been on several meds.Last one was rituximab, only had two infusions. My first was hydroxychloriquine, then Sulphasalazine,Methotrexate,Leflunomide tabs, didn't help onto erelzi then Sarilumab both injections.Changed to Jak 's baricitinib,Tofacitinib then tocilizumab.Been on Methotrexate injections15mg for a while now.Only started Filgotinib tabs last week praying this will work.Good timing with your jabs.My husband and I both got letters today with appts same place, day only seven mins apart for covid/flu vaccinations.I had text few days ago informing me.Makes sense to vaccinate partners quickly to protect us.Hope Rituximab keeps helping you.
Thanks Bella. I've been on rituximab fo about 10 years. Its been good but the way it knocks out the effect of the vaccine is a problem. I know my rheumy is talking about changing my meds, so I watch out for anyone on a new treatment. It is rather a hassle to get the infusion and every 6 months or so seems like a big deal. So I could be persuaded to try...
I must admit with covid it is more of a worry.Maybe this is the time to consider a change.Filgotinib is one of the newer meds.Good Luck will let you know if it is helping me.
Us too! Same appointment time for us too.
Ah ! Good place. X
