I am covered in brusies, not knowing how I get them! Massive bug brusies, I am on lefluomid, hdyro Humeria, but not on steroids. Does anyone else get brusies out of nowhere? I have loads on my legs and arm!

You shouldn’t get massive bruises from not doing anything I’d speak to your doctors and get them checked out.

I'm sorry to hear that Carol but I agree with Vonnie and Kitty, you really need to see your doctor. Good luck.

I am sorry you have so many bruises, I hope you get blood work done soon to check your platelets and kidneys/liver function. Wishing you a quick recovery 💕

I get them all the time and i only have to knock myself i get what looks like bruises. I have been told ot is due to my tissue skin caused by all the drugs i am on. xxxx

I do get them but I’m on long term steroids and clopidogrel which is an anti platelet, so know the cause of mine. I would see gp and get bloods done, as liver issues can cause bruising, so it would be worthwhile getting some bloods done

I am on hydroxychloroquine and leflunomide and from time to time I get bruises, mostly on my legs, but some on arms too. This has only started since I started leflunomide. I have had bloods done and been checked for clotting issues etc and it draws a blank. My gut feel is that it is related to leflunomide.

My GP said as been on high doses of steroids I can bruise easier and remember as you work in kitchens it can be lethal for well the hell did that bruise come from!

Yep!I’m on Leflunomide too - I can see a pattern here.

I’ve mentioned to rheumy nurse before but they weren’t that bothered!

Next time I speak with them I’m going to mention it again

When I was on Lefluomide I had an increase in bruising and I was told by my RA nurse and checked on side effects on leaflet, that it was possible side effect with Lefluomide.

I'm rarely without a bruise somewhere on my body. I'm on leflunomide, toficitinib and prednisolone.Even a small knock results in a bruise.

I have been lefluomid for about 5 years, but I never had brusies! It's only started recently, I think it's the Humeria and I will be speaking to my Ra consultant very soon. Thanks for all your replies. Take care.
