Hi, I’m applying for pip and have posted on here before and you lovely people were very helpful. The cab are helping me complete the form. She told me that I may have problems getting it as I live on my own, work and drive. I was refused before on these grounds. I have three autoimmune conditions including ra that I’ve had for 30 years. I’m 61 and really struggling. I have no choice but to do these things as I have no other income and I have to work 30 hours a week.
Is anybody else in this situation and did you get it? I’d love to know if it’s possible in these circumstances. Thank you so much.

If you put pip into the search box and filter for NRAS then all the posts about it will come up. There will be lots of help there and you could look at the NRAS guide too.
My son receives PIP, he's had it though since he was about 2 when it was originally called attendance allowance then disability living allowance, he's now 30 but works, he doesn't have RD but learning difficulties, ataxia in his hands and co-ordination problems. Not sure any of this helps but my understanding is it doesn't matter if you work, its to aid you in being able to live and manage, eg if he has to get a taxi to work (he doesn't drive) or any additional aids.
Good luck with it, all I can suggest is you need to really elaborate how it affects you, I found this really difficult with my son initially as I didn't want to put it in writing how his disability affects him but didn't get attendance allowance at first application, I was advised by the nurses at the childrens centre to really elaborate his problems and if I still didn't get any joy to get my MP involved.
Morning. PIP is awarded for problems with FUNCTIONALITY… The DWP are not supposed to use going to work/ driving as a reason not to give awards, but they do…
Good Luck. Benefits & Work are worth the £20. And I joined Fightback to get my application reviewed.. I had to go to tribunal last time as I worked 3 hours a week, which they said proved I was absolutely fine……. 😳
