Thank you, each and everyone of you who responded to my post. I genuinely appreciate it. I learned a lot today and it was helpful and has reduced my fear a little.

I’m going to put it from my mind - for fear of building it up into something it may not be- and just wait until CT scan and subsequent discussion with specialist.

Anyway, I have my ankle replacement to look forward to! That’ll keep me occupied for a while.

But, genuinely, thank you all so very much.
