Thanks Keeta.

It took 2 nurses twenty minutes to release the pen, it had to be dismantled with surgical pliers etc.

That sends a shudder down me. Your poor wife! Hope she's feeling ok now. Many positive thoughts for next week as I guess that will be scary!

How awful. Hope your wife doesn’t feel too traumatised. I have used the syringes, mainly in my legs, for 4 years with nothing like you describe. I once had what felt like a blunt needle which took my breath away but it did give the dose, although it felt like the longest six seconds of my life. If it had happened to me I would definitely speak to the Rheumy nurse, who should know if it had ever happened to anyone else but I would also speak to the pharmacist at your delivery company and give them the serial/batch number. Hope she has a speedy recovery and thanks for sharing as it helps to know.

Is this the same as a sure click pen? I can’t begin to imagine how it could get stuck to a body part. Isn’t it just a needle that does a quick in and out thing? I hope she isn’t in any pain now and heals quickly from it.
