I have just begun, five weeks ago, on my second biologic having failed on all DMards and Benepali. Now on RoActemra. My latest HbA1C has risen considerably. I am a Type 2 Diabetic, well controlled on tablets for many years. As I have not changed diet or anything else I wonder if it is a side effect of the RoActemra - although I can find nothing in the literature about it causing a rise in blood sugars. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi Pat, could the rise be explained by the stress you're under, possibly worries about failing medications etc? My diabetic sister in law's sugars sometimes go haywire if she's under extra pressure.
Good luck with your meds. X
