Ive heard cryotherapy can be good for RA patients. Has anyone tried this? If so, I’m curious to hear about the experience. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Anyone tried cryotherapy?
I had it on my thumb, it hurt while I had it done as my hands hurt when they are cold and had no improvement at all

Maybe if you respond to cold therapy, something as simple as a bag of frozen peas wrapped in a tea towel, then maybe it's worth paying the money but I don't, I respond to heat. I'd do your homework, make sure it doesn't long term it hasn't caused any problems to RD'ers or try a bag of frozen peas on various joints, that should give you an indication of if you respond to extreme cold.
my oestopath always recommends frozen peas for muscle pain for 10 minutes then a heat pad for the same. That works for me.
At the beginning of living with RA I did a lot of crying, and often that helped a great deal!
On a more serious note, I use gel packs from the freezer all the time on my knees and ankles. Some days, after I've walked too much, I put on an ice pack every two hours for about 15 minutes and it really helps to control the pain and the next day I feel a lot better.
