Until this morning i hadn't been out since Sunday and i was in a lot of pain this morning. Hubby took me to visit friends as i needed to get out,but the pain in my back has brought tears by breakfast and i mean lots of tears. So the journey to their house was painful and i had to sit down when i got there. My friend and i went up the street in the car and i went into a shop and thankfully she has seats in this shop so i sat while she showed me things and yes i brought some lovely sandals and a couple of tops. Then we had a cuppa in the cafe across the road and then we went to the drs as she had a appt. Then we went back to hers where the men had just finished what they were doing. The little walk i did didn't do any good either. Then we had the trip home and god was it painful.
Anyway i rang the hospital and she doesn't have a date for me yet. She did say would i have a short time appt for surgery and it might be in another hospital and i said yes as i couldn't care less where they do it as long as they do it. She did say to see my dr and get a letter sent to say i am becoming an emergenancy now. Hubby is going to take care of it this afternoon. I am now laying on my recliner with a heated shawl on my back in absolute agony. I could cry it is that difficult for me. I might even go back to bed.xxxxxxxx

I am so sorry to hear you are in so much pain . Do you have anything to take for the pain ? Maybe a bit of a distraction....TV , while you are waiting for meds to work .....?.. music ? It is just so horrible and lonely , when you are in major pain ..... would a heat pack help .
If you can't bear it .....
I'm not sure what it's like over there , but what if you present yourself to emergency department at your hospital . Surely they could admit you , or at least give you a pain management regime ?

That sounds like a good plan , hope your dr can help sooner rather than later . Just remember the hospitals are there if you need them , and it gets too much for you .

Hope you feel better soon. Just had a bad spell with my back (scoliosis,OA and degenerative discs) alongside a flare up in too many places but within a few days of my sub-cut steroid injection first thing I noticed was improvement in my back. Worth a try if you can get one, might ease things until your surgery. Good luck x
I feel completely miserable today darling,i am uncomfortable. The dr. is going to send a letter to the hospital in an effort to get the surgery done quicker. I have told the hospital that i will take a cancellation as well.xxxxxxx
Sorry to hear your feeling so miserable , and your still so uncomfortable. I really hope it's not "snail mail " and that letter takes forever to get to the hospital.......
