WRIST POST-OP

Good morning all, a little update on my surgery. I am now 3 weeks post-op after having half my wrist replaced, tendon repair and small bone graft. I have had the cast changed to a lighter on which will be on for another 4 weeks and then in a splint. It's going to be a long job but hopefully will be worth it. I am struggling with pain at the moment and trying to cope with paracetamol as I am allergic to most painkillers. It is very difficult managing with just one hand but there are ways round that. My daughter and granddaughters have been taking it in turn to come and help but they can only do so much. One good thing is my DLA has been raised to the highest level without any assessment. I have read all the struggles people have been having so was expecting the same. I am over 65 so that might have helped in that I didn't need to change to PIP. Anyway I hope you all had a very good bank holiday.

Hi Mary

I'm glad to read that your op was a success. It must be hard struggling with the pain and not being able to take anything other than paracetamol. Hopefully the pain will reduce sooner rather than later.

Wishing you the speediest of recoveries.

Marie

Hi Mary. I'm so sorry to hear of your struggles. With any luck the worst of it is now behind you and the warmer weather will speed your recovery. Hugs
