finding it hard to keep the sunshine happening ATM. I am really starting to question who I must have wronged in a former life. I bent over this morning to wash the bottom half of my legs and popped a disc again. I am in excruciating pain and can't get in to see GP until tomorrow afternoon. Not that he can do much as I am already on pain killers and using heat and tens to try and deal with the pain. I am only going because he said if it happens again I need to be referred to someone for more investigation. I can't even have a steroid injection due to being on anti coagulants aghhhhh. Should be an interesting rheumy appt this week then, heart issues, no medications and now this. So on top of the pain from my RA being back with a vengeance in my hands, ankles and feet I also have a ruptured disc. Oh I hate my body. Back to work tomorrow as I have no leave. Happy Days!
I have no idea what I have done....................... - NRAS

Poor you - sending a virtual hug x
Goodness, no wonder you think that. It just goes on. Let's hope it take a turn for the better soon. Christmas soon, hoping you have a good one. Sending gentle Hugs X
Thanks I am hoping it takes a better turn too. At least I have a brand new suitcase after the airline smashed mine last weekend. One good thing happened!!!! Hahahah
Thankfully you still have your sense of humour. You certainly need it, try and rest up today xx
'What doesn't kill you makes you stronger' so they say. You must be very strong by now !! Take good care of yourself and stay as positive as possible. X
Sending hugs your way darling. Can you get to your A&E if so go there darling thats all i can suggest.xxxxx
Do you all mind if I say something.
Something.
I hope things get better for you soon, who do you think you were in a past life ????? I think I was Vad the impaler.
Oh SM, damaging discs is so painful. I have every sympathy and sending gentle, virtual hugs. Please be careful at work, don't push yourself too hard and make sure you rest when you can.
How's your pain being managed? Have you tried any more alternative methods such as; alternating heat and cold or Epsom salts? I know they're not a cure, as such, but might help a bit.
I have to go to work as I have no leave left after having to take two weeks off recently when I got pericarditis and then congestive heart failure developed.
I am taking tramadol and paracetamol but it doesn't touch the sides really. I cam't use a bath as ours is a deep spa bath and I can't get in or out of it. I have a tens machine which I also use. Not much can be done really apart from wait it out and wait for the inflammation to go down.
I'll never moan about anything life throws at me again after hearing your troubles. I just can't understand how people expect you to work when you're in so much pain, don't get sleep and no solution in sight. Have your employers no compassion? I hope you find some relief soon.
They do but that's the law if I have no leave and don;t want to take leave without pay, I can;t afford to live if I don;t work, then that is what it is. As an older person with these sorts of disabilities the competition with younger fitter people for jobs is tough and I have to keep up or get out and live hand to mouth on benefits. I do enjoy working though it keeps me part of life.
