That's great, I hope you're pleased with the result? I think you're the first I've heard of PIP being awarded indefinitely as well.

Hi, Congratulations...fantastic news for you! I don't want to burst your bubble but like NMH has said you're the first person I've heard of to be awarded PIP indefitnetly ...when my award arrived it said I'd been awarded the care component indefitnetly but on another page of award letter it said I was to have a review in 2018, so I rung to check and yes, I had not been awarded it indefinitely. Sorry if I'm putting a downer on your good news but I was told the same...so maybe worth checking.

Went through the letter and it says indefinitely

That's brilliant...good for you, they very rarely issue indefinite awards. It will take the worry of having to be reassessed away from you. Best wishes!

Great news! I got mine too (both standard rate). I think it's easy for people to think it's hopeless and not worth applying, so good news stories like ours are important. :)

Hi

Well done on your PIP I used to get DLA for my Ankylosing Sponylitis but had it taken of me as I was investigated by benefits they said I was more able than I put on my form, however my AS comes & goes in flare ups, that was 4 yrs ago. Today I am worse than I was then I am on opioids based mess & suffer severe pain & fatigue, I am house bound 80% of my life. I am scared to apply for pip based on the way I was treated before. Any advice.

Thank you

Great news, so pleased for you. I cant understand why they DONT put "indefinitely" on all our applications - we are never going to recover ! it can only get worse but with the help of medication its under control !

Fantastic news. Well Done Beeckey.

I'm dreading my PIP papers coming. It was stressful trying to sort out the DLA in the first place. I get the feeling that with PIP they want to get rid of as many people as they can and quite a few of the NRAS members have lost their cars due to low mobility rating.

My DLA is up for review Feb. 2017. So will cross that bridge when I have to.
