I have had the raised rash now for 11 days...cold sore is finally going...finished antibiotics and the rash is still here. Tight and feels like I have sat in the sun over my cheeks and nose. So fed up. Will see what RA nurse says.
Off my DMARDs till it goes away and I feel less sore than when I am on them. Gentle hugs xxx
Good idea, best to get it checked as there are auto immune illnesses that cause rashes in a butterfly shape? Good luck with the call xxxxx
did the rash appear with the antibiotics???, if so it could be an allergic reaction x
Hi Summer. The rash came out same time as the cold sore so was given erithrimycin for 7 days and cream for cold sore. Feels similar to a face mask setting..and now have tingly skin on hands and feet and feel dizzy. Waiting for a RA nurse to phone back. Take care x

Take a photo of the rash to show ur rheumy team. I thought my hand wad flared so took a picture. It turned out to be a rash that the dermatologist confirmed as vasculitis which is treated with methotrexate - so stopping ur meds might make rash worse. See gp for advice whilst waiting for rheumy team to get back to you.

I came out in a rash with Humira all over my legs which was very unsightly. Rheumy changed me to Enbrel and not had a problem since,
Hope you get some answers soon as to what is causing it.
Strange I was told not to take eurithmycin or anything similar because it reacts with the MTX!
worth checking with the pharmacist I should think.

Hello and thank you for taking time to answer my question...RA clinic has phoned and my consultant wants to have some special auto immune tests for connective tissue done next week. The nurse was lovely so made me feel better. I told her about the tingling in my hands and feet and my swallowing problem.
Got to take to the phlebotomist on Tuesday. take care xxx
