I am having another rough day. I could cry i feel that bad. My back is causing problems with my legs still. My hands are still sore and my eyes well what can i say about them that hasn't been said. My vision is still good and it seems the problem is Sjorgens and it is not only affecting my eyes, but my mouth as well. I rang the hospital yesterday to get my blood results and guess what they are very good,my inflammation is 3 and the other one is 5,well how the hell is that and what is causing all this pain. My rheumy nurse is on holiday and the consultant is leaving my hospital. I have an appointment at the drs on Thursday with my gp and we will see what he has to say to me. It is likely to be a six week wait for an mri so no treatment before then. So here i am stuck in limbo until Thursday. I am having my hair coloured this morning and i think when i get home i will go to bed as i didn't sleepvery well last night. Also i am not sure if i am not brewing another chest infection, only time will tell on that one.
Hugs to you all.xxxxx

I am so sorry honey.....this damn disease, it is sunny one day and stormy the next. You have lots of friends on here who I am sure are sending you the biggest hugs, mine is especially big as I'm nearly 6ft tall!! Rest today and if you want a chat this evening send me your number on the private messages and I'll ring you. Lesley X
So sorry you are having such a bad time again. You have been through a lot just lately.
Hope having your hair done today will lift your spirits a bit. Put your feet up,when you get back and catch up on your missed sleep from last night, tiredness on top if everything else is nobody's friend.
Is there any way that you can get your Drs appointment brought forward to tomorrow or is that difficult with your surgery? If they knew just how much pain you are in maybe they would understand. And if there's a chance that chest infection is returning you need to nip that in the bud ASAP.
I hope you get sorted soon Sylvi- I really feel for you.
Sorry you feel bad Sylvi. I too had Sjorgens and had to carry a bottle of water everywhere because my mouth was so dry and eye drops too for soreness. I was viewed with suspicion in various places as I used to squirrel myself away in shop corners to have a drink. I think I was suspected of being a drunk!
However, my Sjorgens has all but gone, which is apparently unusual, but thank good ness, so I hope that may happen for you too. As with everything, we have to keep going back to the GP or hospital and making a nuisance of ourselves to get some attention and someone to understand. I had to go A & E on two occasions.
Maybe they will give to some relief with a steroid injection which seems to work wonders.
In the meantime, I wish you all the best and speedy relief from all the pain and strife x
Sylvi, sorry you feeling rough today. Just a thought, do you use Biotene for your dry mouth ? I get gel and mouthwash on prescription and it does help a bit with my sjogrens, though it never really goes away. I drink water all day, swooshing mouth round first. I have two types eye drops on prescription, again it helps, but does not cure. I find old fashioned optrex eye bath very soothing. I dab aloe Vera gel under eyes for the swelling. It's an ongoing battle really. Because I have uveitis and cracked
Retina amongst other things I go to eye Clinic every three months, last time I was there the consultant discussed the dry eye problem. He showed me how to massage my eyelids, apparently along the lash lines, both upper and lower lid there are tiny glands and if you very gently massage they release natural lubricants and help with the dryness. I've found this to be helpful and it's taken quite a few weeks but definately an improvement. I've had couple of big antibiotic doses last few weeks and my eyes and mouth always worse after that think it's thrush so upped my probiotics to settle it.
I'm having a very bad day today, but the weathers dry so I'm forcing myself out in garden to try and do bit of dead heading, if I don't I'll end up like the flowers, dried up and dead ! I've got an old fashioned zimmer with a basket on front which helps me greatly. I haven't left the house since Friday, my back far too bad to drive, so at this rate I'm becoming a recluse !! Hope you improve after your hairdo xxxx
Oh Sylvie, I hope having your hair coloured has lifted your mood a bit, time for a pic to show it off? Rest up & allow your achy body to relax a bit.
I also use Biotène gel, recommended by my Pharmacist & prescribed by my GP, the one Lynda has mentioned, & it does help somewhat so maybe ask your GP if it would be helpful for you. x
Sorry to read that your being run through the mill upside down and backwards from the sound of it. Hope things improve very soon and that chest infection doesnt get to be full blown x
