Folks hope you can help. Anybody who is on Baricitinib have a skin rash that comes up as large red sore spots that take ages to come to a head?
Every biologic so far and this is no 6 either hasn’t worked or the side effects are horrendous.
Been on it for 2 weeks and I thought it was great, swelling down, no pain, more energy and off my oral steroids. I thought initially the rash on my face was due to wearing a mask but they have appeared in places where the mask doesn’t cover there.
Also if baricitinib didn’t work what were you put on next.

I started baricitnib 35 days ago like you swelling going down and energy levels much better but the last 5 days I’ve been getting bumps under my skin and my nose has bright red blemishes ( they don’t hurt) I have never had bad skin and I haven’t worn a mask in 9 days.
Thankyou J1707 for replying. Have you ever had a rash from other things you have been on.
The reason I ask I came out with a terrible rash with methotrexate both tabs and injections. I was told i was probably reacting to hydrochloride acid in meds.
Yes I too am having red blotches on my nose and big lumps on my chin and at the side of my head. I’m 57 and have never had bad skin till these biologics.
I got a rash with Hydroxychloroqine and swollen lips and tongue. I also had a reaction to sulfasalazine both an A& E job. I’m 53 and prided myself on my blemish free skin all my life.
I have no rush or any side effects from baricitinib but it helped only a tiny bit and then stopped. It has been 10 weeks 😒 Couldn't reduce deflazacort at all.
Thank you so much. You have given me a wee bit of hope. For the first time in 2 years I don’t have swelling. However I’m like you think if it lessens in time I can put up with it. I will check out that Facebook page x
