Hey everyone! Newbie here!👋🏼😆 I’ve smoked for 17 years but I honestly think I smoke out of boredom most of the time. I’m a stay at home mum, and because my sons still so small- I don’t have much to do, hence the boredom smoking. I’ve had chronic laryngitis for the last 5 weeks, and it really scared me thinking it could be something worse, the thought of leaving my boys behind has given me a big kick up the bum, but I know it’s going to be so so hard! Any advice welcome & so much appreciated!
PS- my husband smokes too which isn’t helpful but he’s willing to try stop with me (whether that sticks i do not know), but he wants to try stop by vaping, I want to go cold turkey x

Good luck to you both. I went cold turkey too, just gone pass 2 months. The biggest advice I can give you is to read as much as you can on this addiction to help you. I read a book by Allen Carr called Easyway to stop smoking that really helped me and is a well known quit smoking book. It gets you in the right mindset to quit. There are pinned posts on here too that has loads of information to help you. 😀
Hello I have just joined also. I am about to give up smoking also. I am scared but I need to do it! I am 61 years of age and now are feeling the awful facts of smoking! Breathless, wheezing.broke! I love my animals especially riding my horses, but finding this very difficult because I get out of breath very quickly . My grandchildren get very upset when they see me smoke.
