Vaping

After really struggling with the whole quitting thing ive recently started vaping. Not sure if this is a complete copout but so far so good.My plan is to slowly reduce my nicotine levels to zero and then hopefully I can ditch the vape and cease smoking anything.Thats my plan anyway and staying off the fags is a real achievement for me.Its only early days but thought I'd share this with everyone. The truth is quitting completely fills me with dread and I just can't do it, ive tried but fail miserably everytime... Feeling confident so onwards and upwards and good luck to those who have successfully managed to quit 👍

Good luck. That’s exactly what I did. I vaped while slowly lowering the nicotine dosage until I got down to 0%. Vaped the 0 for a while and when my vape & then my backup vape broke, I didn’t buy a new one. I know for a fact I would not have been able to quit without vaping. Gum, pills and patches did not work for me at all.

Also don’t know why it says 1 year smoke free next to my name. It will be 3 years smoke free on November 12th.

I did the same and I found stopping the vape to be a hell of a lot easier than stopping the real things. I would advise you to wait until you feel you're ready to come off the vape - don't try to do it too early because you feel you should, or because people are telling you that you should

Also don't listen to people who tell you that you're just substituting one form of addiction for another. I had that a lot while I was vaping and the people who said it are still smoking whereas I am not (not that I'm vindictive :-))There are plenty of people on this forum who have successfully used a vape to help them stop smoking so you're in good company.

It's 4 years cigarette and vape-free for me these days. (or should I say e-cig, which is what they were called when I used them)

Not what you're looking for?
