8 Year Anniversary 😀

Jan 19 marked the occasion of quitting cigarettes for 8 years. The day passed, and it didn't even register that it was my anniversary since I rarely think of cigarettes any more. Sometimes, if I do think of cigarettes, exercise will take away any wish to smoke: I guess it's the dopamine hit of exercise which in my case is usually yoga. Quitting smoking is one of the best things I ever did, and I never thought I would be able to do it. I used to LOVE smoking, at least I told myself that. I LOVE being a non-smoker now. If I can quit - anyone can quit. I quit using Champix which while it didn't take away the cravings completely did take the edge off it. All the best to anyone quitting.

Wow congrats on eight years! Today marks eight months for me. Once you quit smoking each day is like a challenge. I find that if you are busy you hardly think of cigs. Also as time goes on it is easier to put that nico demon out of your head. He still like to pop his ugly head in. Good luck to all.
