How annoying I was for making people wait for me to finish smoking before we could do something such as waiting for me to get in the car, waiting for me to go in a store, waiting for me to do anything that I couldn’t smoke during so I would have to stop and smoke before and hold everyone else up while I did so. Also, I do not miss the anxiety I would feel of knowing I had to go somewhere that I wouldn’t be able to smoke whenever I wanted. The freedom surprised me most.

I think freedom from always thinking of my next smoke has been my biggest joy. Life is so much better now, don’t dread going on long flights or being in places where smoking is prohibited. I used to get so anxious in situations where I couldn’t smoke. I didn’t realise how stressing being a smoker was always believed cigs eased stress, how wrong I was

Actually thats partly why I quit. My breaks at work got shortened and I didnt want to stress choosing between the bathroom or a quick smoke 😂 my bladder is super grateful

I was always tired in the afternoon and some days had naps. Since I quit I have a lot more energy.

For me, after 35 years of being a smoker, what surprised me the most was how much i DON'T miss it, why did I smoke for so long??

My sense of smell is brilliant now, I can finally smell my own washing powder.

Down sides........I got fat! I mean really fat, think I put on about 2-3 stone and I can't seem to lose anything :(
