One way to quit.

have not smoked for almost six months and not even missed it. The reason for it was a number of serous ops and lesser procedures. I am now minus stomach, spleen, part of pancreas and had a large stone removed from my liver and also a pacemaker fitted. During those months I was far too ill to think of smoking.

Today, on my first full day home from hospital, I notice a faint craving, manly when I work on my computer. I suppose it brings back the memories of past days. I am determined though not to start again.

I think you’re right. Now that you’re back to the familiar setting of home you will probably get a few trigger points that you associate with smoking. I’m guessing you used to take smoke breaks when you worked on the computer before you became ill? The more you work through them the easier it will become.

It sounds like you have been through a hell of an ordeal. Best wishes to you.
