My friend arrived from England yesterday. She is staying with us for two weeks and she is a smoker. This is the first time I have been around a smoker since I started the champix. She is an outside smoker. The smell is awful. I have to walk away because I feel like I want to throw up. As a smoker you wouldn't know how bad you smell to non smokers. Hopefully when I am done my champix the smoke still smells this bad. I was so worried that if I was around a smoker that I would want one. But that didn't happen.

Hey reader2019 - I promise that awful smell of the cigarette smoke will definitely remain when you stop the champix (it doesn't cause the bad smeill, its your new found sense of smell now intolerant to the smell of smoke). I stopped cold turkey and detest the smell and has been my saviour on many occasions early in my journey when strong cravings hit not to light up and that is almost 4 years ago :)

You are doing great, keep it up!

Everyone is different. I've never found the smell bad, the only thing I did think was bad, which I did when I smoked was the lingering smell on clothes, ashtray smelling clothes. Not nice.
